Smartphone for the masses or feature phone of the future? Samsung would gladly have it either way. The question rather is, will the Bada OS keep up the pace of its debut device. We’ve been following the new smart platform since its first. Update: Samsung Dive overview added...

downloading speed depends on the server and how big the file is....you can try it at the dealer stores before you decide.....it's processor is 1 gigahertz, and it's fast enough for a wifi cellphone.

bought mine last october 20, and it is only now that it's battery life is peaking...meaning to say, with the proper charging(i let it drain 2x),
it now lasts for 2 and a half days already and it has still 28% left......that is with normal use and ocassional listening with the music player. what a phone, i love it...

especially when using the supplied earbuds, i can only set the volume at half the maximum output level! and sound quality is so crisp, you'll love every minute listening to it....hope you'll enjoy your wave as i am enjoying mine.......

Hey guys, found this on the web. Can anyone else confirm that the wave has poor battery life?

If you want to save battery, try this:
1)If you have problem with battery, go to service
menu *#197328640# and go to (8) Common.
In next menu go to (8) DVFS Configuration and
press 3 (200mhz) and with this downclock your
battery is MUCH longer! This is only for
                      standby,otherwise put on 800mhz or 600 mhz
                      2)
The battery back up depends on what mode u
choose. If u have selected CP UART mode ur
battery wont last long for more than 2 days, and
if ur mode is AP UART ur battery will last long for
atleast 3.5 days. First of all u should know what is
CP & AP mode. CP UART mode, which uses the
CPU to its full use. In this mode u can really see
the performance, but u have to give ur battery
backup. In AP UART mode the CPU is not at its
full use and hence ur battery can last long for
more than 3 days. But in this mode the
performance will not be up to the mark.
To change the mode dial *#8740#
                      3)turn off gps
                      4) turn off wi fi
                      5)turn off social updates
                      6)reduce screen brightness
7)dont't use 3G, put on gsm
                      8)put some dark wallpaper
                      9)dont' use widgets
                      10)battery depends of processor fluctuation,
sometimes processor usage will be 1% in idle
mode, but sometimes will go to 40% even you
turn off all this things.I have restarted my phone,
but again it goes to 40%,tommorow it was 1%.I
don't know why is that happening.I hope that
some new updates will solve this problem.i use

i'm glad i bought one and i'm enjoying every minute of it, the OS is fast, superb touch screen and the headset sounds are amazing! and the speaker is so loud, i preset mine at half the peak volume.
one thing i noticed though, when the wave is turned off, time alarm doesn't function, so you have to leave it turned-on overnight to activate the time alarmed for the next morning, or else you you won't be able to wake-up on time if you leave it turned-off........
                            everything else is, for me........amazing....

Hoping to get mine for christmas...gone over all possible reviews and it seems like all software problems (including the bluescreen) have been fixed with firmware updates. Also, i saw someone asked, the Wave doesn't need a screen protector. The screen is 99% unscratchable - check it out on youtube. By the way guys, please inform me of any problems you're still having. Shot :)

just got mine yesterday, and fell in love with it instantly. it's my first touchphone and it didn't give me a had time adjusting to it. screen is so responsive, do you suggest putting a screen protector on it, or will the protector interfere with the touch? thanks to whoever will reply to my query.

Bill, 12 Oct 2010Galaxy S or Wave?Definately Galaxy S....I have the Wave and way too many issues. Only good thing is it's camera - absolutely awesome, but doesn't make up for all the other frustrations. I can't even sync with my Outlook calendar, and Samsung won't help with when this will be fixed! Phone is slippery to hold as well by the way - has to have a cover. Bigger screen on S would be much better as any web stuff on Wave is hopeless (and online surfing is much slower than my old iPhone 3G in my direct testing by the way!). I so wish I'd gone iPhone4 or Android. At least I'd find answers online...

I am also on Virgin (Optus) and my Wave shows the same message when I try to sync calendar with Outlook. Strange thing is when I first installed Kies from the supplied disc in the box, it worked! It's the updates that have stuffed the calendar sync up. But the original Kies won't support the App store! Have been asking Samsung Support for over 2 months about when they are going to fix the problem and had absolutely no help so far. Took one month just to get a reply from them that was completely invalid!! Gone back to my old iPhone until Samsung can get themselves sorted...
