did you not find that C was the better pictures? it sounds like you did and now your mad that it was revealed to be the N8 quit crying fanboy and accept that the N8 is good

The result is not up to the author, but from voting.

N8 is superb, definitely a phone of my choice, this phone will be a revolutionary phone like the N95, smartphoe digital photography just leaped in a new level of challenge,producing HQ crisp photos able to challenge digi cams.
N8 has smoked sony`s cam.
BTW nokia haters, relieve yourself from your sick believes, the solution is simple,,, NOKIA IS THE BEST.

Wow!! is this true?!
i really thought that C was the dedicated Sony Digital camera for it has the best clarity and detail!
but it's not, it's the N8!!
i'm really surprised..
so the N8 is really that good!, even beating dedicated digital cameras!
i'm speechless..
Good job Nokia!! and GSMarena for this blind test idea really clever!

The pictures posted were accurate but almost impossible to compare . They compare their pics as if they are using a point and shoot camera which usually brings richer than normal settings . I have no grudge to them . It only encourage me to seek multiple opinions and actual photos to get the best results . Ultimately the buyer has to decide if it fits his or hers needs . Still not a fan of symbian but still want one (my forth contender for n93 replacement).

Guys this was freeaking awesome..... well m a general consumer liked sample b ...
but i have lost respect for eldar man ... i thought he was unbiased ... sheesh ....
i read gsmarena and mobile-review daily but i now have less respect for mobile-review..

I honestly wouldn't put much credibility on Eldar's tests. I used to really respect the guy but he contradicts himself over and over again and lies even from one tweet to the next. Anyway, it really is not hard to tell when someone has a grudge. Check his site again, the shots he say are better than the N8 look better when you look at the total shot without looking at any detail, but once you look at the details, very few of them have the fine level of detail as the N8 and some of the other shots suffer from pixel globs making them look like a Monet painting.
Also i see quite a few people here who are in complete denial. A blind test result ends with the Nokia winning and people are saying GSMArena are supporting Nokia.
The readers decided which pictures were better. GSM just reported the result. They were more than fair.

You are wrong. The Exif info in the photos shows that N8 uses Auto settings. So no manual settings were used in N8.
Eldar the Liar and Engadget are the ones that tried their best to make N8 look bad. Their comparisons were ridiculous. I really wouldn't trust them if I were you. Eldar has a well known grudge against Nokia (I would say hatred, based on his constant lying.) and Engadget is practically an iPhone fan site that dislikes Nokia. No objectivity there. Just clear bias against Nokia.
There are other sites that have said that N8 is the best camera phone ever. I myself have seen countless N8 photos and they look awesome. Detailed and natural. No barrel distortion. No edge enhancements. No compression noise. The photos are better than what my Canon Ixus 200 IS takes!

This is the dumbest test I've ever seen. In full daylight, many cameraphones are just as good as P&S. When you look at the samples, most of them look very similar. There were a key few that would lead those to believe C was the Sony though. First,in the building/tree shot, the Nokia was the only one that actually focused on the tree (rather than the building) making it seem higher quality (when it has nothing to do with quality). Second, in the resolution tests, Sony has notoriously high NR that wipes out detail, making 4x6s look good but full-screen zooms look terrible in terms of detail. This made the Nokia get the slight lead on that one. I'm pretty sure these key photos made people think C was the best.
Do a low-light test thanks. Or one where the cameras are all properly focused on the same subject at least. Argh!!

The fact is that Symbian is an operating system for the more mature, should I say smarter (?) mobile user. I requires a bit of intelligence to operate. Let the plebs have their Iphones and let the rest of us enjoy a superior product in peace.
Well done on the blind test GSM Arena, I was sure C was the digital camera..
