Phones should have standardized video calling, fully customizable interface, rSIM management, pentaband 10.2 Mbps 3G, file transfer over bluetooth, support for video out and bluetooth keyboard & mouse, good video codec support, good file manager, support for standard USB charging etc.
Phones shouldn't have problems with call quality, reception, Microsoft exchange integration etc.
Good thing N8 is a 2010 phone. I know several phones that still don't get those right though...

Thank you for remaining loyal to reviewing phones, unlike that other trashy gossip site that calls itself a tech blog, but is really nothing more than Perez Hilton and a Pink Motorola RAZR's love child.
A nine page review, with a comparison at the end is just classy.
I have watched GSM arena since... 2003? 2004? And I still come here when I need to do some fact finding.
I'm gonna keep the N8 on my radar.

Gizmodo posted a comment saying they WILL NOT review the fone and took the chance to attack it. Talk about being a HATER. If they don't want to review it they should just be silent and not take pot shots at the product, im done with Gizmodo now.

i have recived my nokia n8 and i think it's owesome handphone that i have ever seen. the camera very good, the sound very good, and i can see cnn, and animal chanel there. and i can download a lot of game and software in ovi for free nice hp.

In 5 megapixel race, Nokia 6700 classic and Sony Ericsson shares the same title for the 'best 5MP camera'. For 12MP camera, no doubt it is the Nokia N8. What about on 8MP camera. Which of the 8MP camera phones are the best? Is it Samsung i8510 INNOV8? Is it Nokia N86 8MP (with latest software)? Is it Samsung S8300 UltraTouch? Is it Sony Ericsson XPERIA X10? Is it Nokia C7?
Help me with thses guys. Thanks!

Needless to say, this is the best imaging phone and even for the people who think this phone is no good: the camera , audio and video quality make it a perfect entertainment device.

This review seems off somehow. Rather un-gsmarena-like. I can't quite put my finger on it. Anyways, regarding the N8, custom firmware should fix most of the problems mentioned. Otherwise, I'd be pretty content with Symbian^3.
