Nokia N8 review: Director of photography

12 October 2010
We’ve come to take Nokia for granted in the low end or the business class but it seems it has lost the knack for killer phones, run out of royal blood. It’s up to the Nseries to fix it all up. The Nokia N8 may just turn out to be the right cure. With that kind of hardware. Update, 08.02.2012: Symbian Belle update hands-on...

My only negative opinion concerning this phone is that it isn't Android. :) Nokia needs Android!!!

Time_Stand_Still, 03 May 2011Looking for some sound and logical feedback. It's time for ... moreI'm using N8 for quite a while now (since Nov 2011). All I can say is, I use my N8 in a tough way (phoning, messaging, browsing, GPS, listening music, gaming, last but not least, taking picture. All I can say is that I'm satisfied with what I have. I'm NOT a die-hard NOKIA user, but I've been using NOKIA for a long time now (since NOKIA 6600). Definitely NOKIA N8 have the upperhand here. But all the other phones are good too. If you don't want "multi-tasking", SE Xperia X10 is good. Using Android a.6 is no fun. But if you wanna use Android phone, use with Android 2.3 (Gingerbread). ACER is out of question. They are not user friendly at all. But Samsung Wave is a good phone. With BADA OS, which is almost similar (but better than Android 1.6) to Android, Wave is a good option. But if the camera is one of the factors, N8 is the solution. More or less, all the phones have the same kind of sound quality. In sunlight legibility, SE X10 is not up to the mark. I bet you'll use your phone outdoors as well. So, my feedback would be:
                              Nokia N8
                              Samsung S8500 Wave
                              SE Xperia X10
                              ACER Liquid MT
But the truth is, I'm NOT going to use the phone, it's you, who'll use it. So you better check the phones (by using it in some store or from some friends) before deciding the best suitable phone for yourself. Hope it'll help you decide.
                              Take care.

Looking for some sound and logical feedback. It's time for me to update my handset. The phones I will list here are the ones I've finally reduced my list to. I posted in the Nokia N8 as it has been on top of my list to date esp. for its camera and camera interface but as per many comments and the declining future of Symbian I must consider other handsets too. My contract here in Canada will be typically a 3 year one. It will be a phone I live with for 3 years. Also my first Smart phone. I'm not a fanatic on phones but want a good versatile handset that will serve me well for 3 years. So of my list can posters here RANK in your order which you would choose first to worst.

                                  Nokia N8
                                  Sony Ericson Xperia X10
                                  Acer Liquid MT
                                  Samsung Wave

If you wish to add comments after you put in order the list shown, I'd also be appreciative.

                                  THANKS IN ADVANCE!

The Nokia N8 is housed within a splendid body available in enough shades which would please to people of any work area like students, businessman and so on, but its Symbian^3 OS is quite disappointing.
