Hey friends i want to update on the GSMARena Review of N8 Video Playback
They said it wont play files larger than 2 GB and wont seek reverse/forward files larger than 1.5 GB but today I checked a 720p 3.3GB MKV Movie on it and to amazingly it played it and even was able to seek the file reverse/forward but just starting the file took a bit more time than normal files...but that is ok since having a 680MHz processor it can play so good...i lyk my N8 a lot...

how do you differentiate refirbish from new one... Buying from store, except nokia store which could be scare in some area..

ther is no comparson with nokia n8's 12 mp CVCS (clear vid cmos sencor). Irt takes extremly excelent pictures. Some innocent photo shooters says n8 akes poor Images..dude just uncover camera lens plastic foil after that take a picture. Nokia n8 has xenon flash with I iso it taes best quality images u hav to kno which mode hav to select in which moment. I wnt to say innocents who kept middle class & low features camera fon just like galaxy & ericsson cell fon n etc. dont compare them with nokia n8 (the fasther of csmera fon) it takes images like professional digital camera. just u hav to know thwe n8's camera functions. Xenon flash is best sony ericsson's xperia fones just keep water against nokia n8's camera. In can take xtremlrt fast movements like swing cooler's fin as like stop motion with 1/3000 fps shutter speed can xperia & samsung galaxy chellange this? Other features are yhat nokia n8 supports pem drive, dard disk, usb, bluetooth mouse & keyoard also remote hard drive, have hd games the motion sencor is best of all also have light sensor the main thing is that there is in limitations of nokia n8. so nokia n8 is a mobile computer. N8 can chellange all smart phones of any brad.

first i should use 5800 .now i am using n8 i love n8 .but there is now video ringtone & preset equaliser so i am sad .otherwise n8 is toooo gooood

Anonymous, 04 Feb 2011anyone notice when playing movies the dark shades like the ... moreit's because of the light that reflects to the camera and your recoding at 720p try to lower it to mp4 and the shadow lines will dissapear...get it

About that free lifetime navigation - you just have to download the maps via Nokia Ovi Suite to get our Ovi Maps work in offline mode. Maps arent stored by default in N8s(or any other Nokia device) memory because they take a lot of space - whole world in Ovi Maps takes 8.14 GB at the moment. You don't have to download whole world on once, you can choose to download only countries that are most important to you :)

I have had both the Galaxy S and the Nokia N8 .. I gave the Galaxy S to my sister when i purchased the N8..it was a big mistake.. go for the Galaxy S .. sure it feels less solid and a bit plastic compared to the N8 ..but the Galaxy S has a beautifull screen and better features.. also dont get the n97.. Galaxy S all the way !!

How is this 12 Megapixel ? LOL .. this takes extremely poor photos for 12MP.And i thought maybe my phone is faulty,so i did a Google search and found many others with the same problem.
I took out my old sony ericsson k810 that i havnt used in 2 years and compared the photo quality..and was surprised to find that the 3.2 Megapixel sony ericsson took better photos (Not in all conditions ,but most)esspecially in low light or no light conditions... i was at a outdoor party and all the photos i took were horrible and overexposed with the N8.Another problem with the N8 is you cant fully zoom into pictures or photos..when in older or other phones you can .And another big thing is the vibration in silent mode..Are Nokia serious ? it makes a little poor vibration sound that doesnt even last 1 second..i have missed calls in silent mode .. This phone will be sold.. what a piece of junk it is !!

Hi everyone. I want to buy a new phone. Galaxy S or N8? Also considering n97 or n97 mini. I live in bangladesh so not a lot of choice available. Iphone isn't officially available here....though unofficially, yes. Is it worth the risk?

Tell me sth, please: is nokia still insisting with the stupid camera UI which changes back to default settings each time you turn the camera off? I hate Nokias' camera UIs just because you have to set the camera up each time you turn it on... If I turn the flash off or put it on for example night scenery mode I want the camera to stay set up like that... Why can any SE or Samsung do that and Nokia can't? I might be wrong but I think the majority of users are of the same oppinion... Nokia lost at least one faithful costumer because of it...
