1 April 2011
The Sony Ericsson XPERIA Arc is back for a second round and this time it will stay a while longer. The company’s new flagship did great in our preview and we’d gladly have more of it. The new BRAVIA screen and the impressive...

AnonD-5308, 03 Apr 2011ya i know that problem has an alternative but i need to mak... moreI would just pointing out what I think as the weak points from both phones, and assume the rests are the good ones:

        = Incredible S
        - camera isn't comparable to arc
        - video recording quality
        - audio quality is not as expected from a costly device
        - runs Froyo instead of 2.3, though it is upgradeable to 2.4

        = Xperia arc
        - no front facing camera (is this feature essential ?)
        - smaller internal free memory - but isn't that arc and xperia pro sharing the same hardwares, coz if you check pro's white paper, it says total phone memory is 1 GB
        http://developer.sonyericsson.com/cws/download/1/922/663/1299581294/pro_WP_5.pdf
(Incredible S has 1.1 GB of ROM but no info about the size of its free space)
        - UI is not as good as HTC's (according to some people that I don't really care about this)
        - no DivX/XVid certification - though the hardware can handle this format natively

And as of these are android smartphones, some of those weak points possibly have a solution by installing application. The choice is yours.

I love the design of this phone and I am sacrificing the ff camera option to get this phone. Xperia Neo has the front facing camera option but the rear camera on the phone lacks a lot of options which are present in Arc.

AnonD-3696, 03 Apr 2011boss this section ain't for ARGUMENTS !!!! i said pretty cl... moreyeah, sorry i know that! but some people just complain and bash other products even though they have never used it. im pretty sure the person whom i replied to earlier has never even seen a super amoled screen.

ok back to the topic, here are my views on arc: the standout feature of arc is its excellent design and build quality. its even better than iphone 4, or galaxy s2 or n8 IMO.
its almost a perfect phone. it would have been the best if it had an extra core and an amoled or high quality ips display coupled with the bravia engine. any way it does stand out from the rest.

AnonD-3696, 03 Apr 2011thx for sharing ur experience . im in a tie with xperia Arc... moreIt depends on what you think is more important. The Play is of course better when it comes to gaming, but the Arc is thinner, lighter, has got bigger screen, better camera and is probably cheaper. For me, it was a no-brainer, but it depends on what you value the most.

I got the "blue" one, and yes, that was the only option. It's more black than blue though, but the subtle black/blue metallic gradient on the back really looks good.
