So very well put couldn't agree more!!! Thanks for sharing. I am saying this cause I share the same feeling when I chose Arc S over GS2 (after checking them both) saved good money and am still loving my experience with it.

Hey guys
I just got the Sony Xperia s and I love it, everything about the phone runs very smoothly and the features are really impressive. Was just comparing it too my sister in law who just got an iPhone, shes not very Tec savvy but I can tell but the look on her face that she liked mine better. I think it was the bigger better screen that did it
Anyway one if the main things I wanted to talk about was the captive buttons on the phone. On many reviews it was made out like they suck soon bad and from the videos I believed them but in reality they are very usable and highly responsive so long as you hut the right place. I would prefer proper buttons but it seems android will no longer have buttons so this is a good intermediate. Just thought I'd share this info as reviews are sometimes done by someone who's only used the phone for two mins.

Low end market has high quantity , whereas high end has high quality , So if we just count how many devices can upgrade to 4.0 starting from phones released in 2010 starting around Jan onwards , its pretty small number , like 20% of android sets sold upto date ? or like one device for every 5 devices getting ICS update or features ?
Not all droids are like crap , out of 400 phones maybe 4-5 are good and out of them 2-3 are at good price point and out of them 1-2 are final choice.
So if we count remaining 80% devices which dont receive updates , then all points i said are valid , if ICS comes then half of my points will disappear.
And none are comparing iOS vs Android in awesomeness , Android is never as classy or awesome as iOS (like a candy peice) , and iOS is never about latest geeky stuff or latest technology is used , its always late at implementing technologies and also late at introducing them.
But talking about basic Core of the OS build up , Android sucks right away unless u buy an expensive one.
Show me a android phone which is single core 800 Mhz running smooth ? and has great battery ? definitely not , Android runs good only on dual core or at single core with 1.4 or 1.5 Ghz.
If we speak statistics , 80% of android devices are crap and remaining 20% are really excellent but again speaking technically , Android sucks overall if we look at 80% - 20% share of bad-good phones.
Speaking only about those small number of phones then android wins or else if we count phones like Galaxy s1 which came out 2010 june which stays on old 2.3 gingerbread , its pathetic and also crap.
I like galaxy s2 but looking at implementation of android , its really bad where we cant receive update and install custom ROM because OEM is very lazy to focus on their flagship product ?
There used to be flash argument , Answer is same , Jailbreak iPhone , u can get lots more than what android has , Cydia > XDA at this moment , So its like freedom and freewill , So if u look on both sides , Core of iOS is managed pretty well so u agree or not u can do anything and android core OS is messed up and can only run at high specs and cant take advantage of hardware acceleration so android works only on high end.
I clearly said i like galaxy nexus in previous post , why would i troll ? i say OEMs suck thats all.

none of these for me... my perfect phone:
-4.7" hd, edge-to-edge no bezel phone (without bezel it can be more compact than sgs2)
-quality stereo speakers above and ballow the screen
-snapdragon s4 dual-core 1.5 ghz, 1gb ram, 16gb mem + microsd
-great quality 8mp camera (n8 quality atleast) with 1080p 60 fps rec
-2500 mah battery, i really dont care if it would make it 12mm thick but with no bumps
-stock android 4.0 with open bootloader
-durable quality materials to prevent overheating and that i can drop my phone without worrying
-i would pay up to 500 euros for this device! make it happend!

Also even if 4 cores don't improve perforce they will probably be built on a smaller process and so consume less power.

Seems the point here is not if someone will bring out phone with better specs on paper, but a better phone than Xperia S's style, quality, design, user exp.
It will take the others at least fee years from now.

Its because if its not the most popular phone and released everywhere then nobody knows or cares. A lot of people do not know of the Omnia HD for that reason. It was way different, advanced, ground breaking, and set new standards and an all around great phone. How many people of the street know the name of the phone that started cell phone HD? Barely any.

Also if any of you fanboys had a little bit of knowledge, you should know that there isnt much of a software that uses more than 2 cores in the PC world, what use a smartphone will have of 4 cores?
And 1920x1080 @ 4,8"? thats insanе, they should sell it with a pair of glasses.1080p is a pain to read even at a 15,6-17,3 laptop screen.....
Face it, swallow it, understand it - Sony just have won one of the major segments of smartphone market.

i think that it is universal truth gmarena is only sight which is not paid other wise there is so much money transfor for wrong publicity of their cell phones through these paid sights like samsung.im 4m pakistan and im big fan of gsmarena.i request plzzz publish the full review of xs urgent,also shoot the display comparision of retina vs samoled vs reality.i know this sight read the user opinion.sony is best

You can say what you want, but mms is something pretty damn crucial and even the lies you just told can't change that. Not every Droid get the support it deserves and that's sad, but lots get plenty of updates. You obviously regurgitated all that. All droids lag and always will, flash doesn't work, HTML doesn't, and blah blah. Please. Quit whining. Every line of phones has lags and problems and Apple is just as guilty of many many bugs. Ios 5 crashes more than anything. They had tons of time to bring it out and it only needs to work for iPhone. Android has to work across so many devices and does more than hold its own. My Droid barely ever slows down, lags, force closes, crashes, or random boots. And trust me real multitasking is nice. Especially playing music, torrenting, texting, and online use with little to no hiccups at all while everything is full on running. The only time I ever have an issue is sometimes if I decide I want to oc ill go from 1ghz to 1.5-1.7ghz and too many things might crash the ram. And your gonna have all your well android sucks this and apple awesome this but I don't have time for this sandbox stuff. Again. This has nothing to do with apple. All your gonna do is rant on about crap. Yeah android has issues and lots, but so does every single other phone, or Price of electronic out there.

And yes I am regretting to the Pixon12 that was released before the satio and took better detailed pictures and was pretty much the best probably only outdone by this newer one. C:
And that is not what you said. You stated that this couldn't have had any better features implying that there are not any out there. This is slightly on top, but that's by a minute margins of that and time. And it definitely does not have the best everything. Though I like it a lot. Its a pretty cool kick ass device and finally not so far behind.
