13 July 2012
With the Galaxy S III busy grabbing the headlines, a midrange smartphone has been making its way to a number of markets without much fanfare. But you can bet the Samsung Galaxy Ace 2 won't settle for the role of just another sequel. It has a chance to...

Some thoughts on Ace 2 vs Xperia Sola debate. Front facing camera is a deal breaker for me. Skype is not the same without it. As long as they run on Gingerbread RAM is not a big issue, but once they're upgraded to ICS that extra quarter gig of RAM in the Ace 2 will come handy. Design and dimensions are well balanced in the Sola, along with the floating touch feature and a higher clocked CPU. Battery is rather bad in both models.

I would reduce it to one model after having a hands on experience (usually Sony phones have a better feel in the hand), but as I see it the Ace 2 edges the Sola in some areas that are important to me.

I really like the Ace 2, i'm only waiting for ICS to come to this baby and then i will purchase it. I don't like the Xperia U only because of the lack for memory expansion, i don't like the Sola because it doesn't look that good.

I think together with the mentioned xperia u, the sola is also a strong rival. It offers similar advantages like the u, and with a few bucks more eliminates the lack of microsd card slot. I think the sola is a little better than the ace 2.
