Samsung Galaxy S4 vs. HTC One: Army of two

26 March 2013
Two phones carrying such a weight of expectations that one would think they’d have no time and energy to worry about each other. The Samsung Galaxy S4 has to outsell the S III and the HTC One is...

[deleted post]I wonder how desperate HTC and HTCFans are. Come on guys One is the best phone HTC ever produced but not the best of all, you know that S4 is better you just know it and that test just proved it, but you are fans and that is what fans do support their team even more if it looses a game. Im startin to believe that HTC workers just spend their time around forums trollin and sayin bad things about S4. Sales will tell the story. In about a year we will have the S5 but are we gonna have HTC? and i dont mean the next ONE i mean the whole HTC..

[deleted post]OK. As long as you are happy thinking that way, no ONE can stop you. Go ahead with all your crappy string theories.

Anyway, HTC will be the FIRST to fall out from the Android race too. Just wait and see.

[deleted post]Sorry. This site you linked provides the WORSE comparisons EVER! Show some real world photos instead of the close up shots of the droid toy!

If you can say the HTC One camera wins over a DSLR, then I think you are seriously just a HTC fan boy there. Who in the right mind (except you of course) will compare a phone camera to a professional DSLR?!

Anyway ill still pick htc one over plasticky samdung. One looks premium while the other looks like another boring looking galaxy.

[deleted post]Here you go spreading non-sense again. If htc phones are always better than Samsung phones, can you tell me in what year an htc phone wins smartphone of the year award? 2011? 2012? I don't think so, right? Because Samsung won those year. And you don't think that the One will win this year do you? Not with that rubbish camera, worse screen, minimum features and a copied design from the bb Z10 it won't.

[deleted post]Where in the article said that it beats the other phone cameras?
Its good but it certainly not the best.
Ultrapixels is just a marketing gimmick by htc, if i want an awesome camera phone ill jusy buy an 808 pureview or better wait for lumia EOS.

Still getting The HTC One regardless.HTC deserve my money for their efforts with The One and Samsung lost my custom when my S3 died from Samsung sudden death syndrome and they refused to replace or fix it for free. There is already a software uodate for the camera which has fixed the noise and detailing on the camera. I am not gonna be a sheep this year and buy the S4. £529 for cheap looking 16gig piece of plastic or £489 for 32gig masterpiece of design and build...No contest...

If you can't tell that the GS4 is clearly a superior phone, you're blind.

Gorilla Glass 3 is 40% more scratch resistant and that's it.Not really much shatter resistant than GG2.I read in a review that GG3 was made to concentrate on scratch resistance not shatter resistance. That means it wont perform all that better in drop tests.Remember, the glass in S4 goes all the way upto the edge like in S3 and the edge bends pretty easily(it bent pretty easily in S3 and this was evident in many drop tests). The glass is bound to shatter when the phone lands on one of its edges(which is the most common point of impact when a phone drops).Be happy with a scratch-free shattered glass then.

And btw, do you know that the S4 uses Gorilla Glass 3 for screen protection and that it has more impact resistance and is three times more scratch resistant than the Gorilla Glass 2 used on the One and on the Xperia Z?

HTC ONE all the way! I owned S1, S2 and now I own an S3 but the ONE is much better than ANY S there is, including S4.Samsung are getting really boring with this stupid design and materials (platic).

[deleted post]You ain't living in a dark cave forever I bet? There are lots of places much better with bright sunlight. Even if HTC One camera wins in low light, doesn't mean that it is a good camera. If the photos are not showing much details, all you see is only fuzzy low light photos.

[deleted post]Well what smart features does HTC One has then? I do not see anything special except HTC is trying to make it look like Windows Phone with the ugly Blink Feed? It even has the toggle controls stripped off from the notification shade on HTC One. Smart? Not imo.

[deleted post]You can tone down the colors via display settings. I did that on my S3 and it is looking just like another phone screens. Especially when compared to a Sony Z with bravia engine turned off.
