Them being larger is what lets in so much more light. If it were an 8up or 13up we might have seen drastic differences. Wait until one of or all of Samsung, Sony, and Nokia come out with a larger more optimized one.

I had the HTC ONE for 7 days and exchanged it for the Galaxy 4.
These are my opinions if anyone's interested.
There both really nice phone's and im not committed to either brand
The HTC one does have a nicer look . But aluminum does have drawbacks over plastic .
just take a look at r/c cars they use mainly plastic for a reason it flexes and when hit or dropped it absorbs some of the force were aluminum doesn't.
I personally think the galaxy s4's screen looks brighter and the colors are more vibrant.
I compared the HTC one's screen to my girlfriend galaxy 2 and I thought her screen looked nicer.
The galaxy 4 has some many more
convenient things in its software and the buttons are easy to press and in a good location
I got bored with the Htc one after 2 days it just doesn't have enough software tweaks for me.
If I was rich I would own both phones.
But in the end I choose the galaxy 4

The new Amoled has a display setting to put it within about 5% the same color accuracy as the latest LCD. While still have a more accurate white balance, true blacks, and higher contrasts. In turn makes it overall most natural.
It also goes almost 30% higher than it's maximum brightness if you put it in auto brightness.
And overall aside from people on the internet most actually like the saturated colors.

The fact that the HTC One may have a better screen even though the S4's is bigger doesn't decide which is better. Looks aren't everything you have to pay attention to everything. The S4 is outstanding even though the look isn't so great. If you want to buy a phone based off It's looks prepare to be disappointed.

Within the actually announcement of the flagship phone.
It was announced that the camera would have be equipped with a 4 U.P (Ultra pixel) camera.
Which in turn the ultra pixel camera lets more light into the photo making the picture more clearer and refined.

...point of difference is dt HTC one has only 4mp camera..n SG4 has 14mp camera..Othawise..htc one Is great..either in many aspects...

Actually gander at both screens. Even use the natural mode on S4. Run some tasks. Try the features. Use the boom sound....aka two speakers....Try high quality audio track with a really powerful singer on headset. Look at camera. Hold both of them in one hand. Both devices will be very nice, but the S4 overall is better. It leads in just about every aspect.

-Yeah props on being the first UP cam in mobile for sure, but no where near best low light or overall in any shape

I have bought the HTC ONE and am regretting that it does not include all the gadgetry of the S4 such as barometer, double motion sensor and thermometer.
Wish it did !!

Lol. You are extremely biased against the HTC One and don't even bother to try and hide it. Fact is, most reviewers and tech sites state the HTC One to be a slightly better device. I own the One now and had the S4 for 45 days before upgrading to the One. The difference in these two phones is more than slight with the HTC being the better of the two. The S4 is a significantly flawed device, hence the reason I do not carry it anymore. It was a laggy slow phone with a much to heavy Touchwiz skin. Sure, the S4 will appeal to the average consumer more due to its feature set and heavy marketing, but to those who place a premium on design and to techies who can spot the difference in performance, the HTC One is the obvious choice. Sales mean nothing in so far as they do not determine which device is best.

Its 4 UP( ultra pixel) equivelant to a 13mp,.....very nice to use, looks great but the wavey lines are still displayed when taking a picture-just dont show up on the actual pic.I running stock android opn my htc one now and camera is fine
