the lag in android comes from Java & Virtual Machine. it's unavoidable, unfortunately, unless google make huge fundamental change on next Android OS.
as for me, no OS is perfect.
I love old symbian s60, but now Android is the most widespread use, so I use it now, with effort to minimize lag as far as I can.

Nothing special, quite pathetic, and a wannabe Symbian mixed with meego and some stollen ios ui(this comes from samsung devices). That doesn't bother me, android had the purpose to grab Symbian fans from the beginning. I could make a peace with this system if there would have been just one great device, a device to really rely on. Maybe if Nokia would have done one, i would probably make a peace with it. But... Weak system, very unreliable, no privacy what so ever, laggy, power hungry. In one word? CrappOS. Symbian has some glitches here and there but Android? Just lags, and we talk in seconds some times. Never really understood what lag is untill i used android. Thing that also tolled me why android fans are always accusing other systems of being laggy... Frustration... To the max'! Now, is Andoid the king of MOBILE os's? When we talk in numbers of powerd on device, for most amateurs this system can sound like the best there is, the king of science. When we talk about the real system, all i can say about it, is that is an very overated children os made for playing games. And the worst part is that this OS powers crappy devices to. The most crapp of them being the best sellers...unbelieveble... So for it's the king? For me this system is the president from Idicracy movie, while it's users are the people of his country. If they are many, doesn't mean they are smart;). A good comedy, worth watching....

I still can't help feeling like they should have equipped the camera hump with a touch-strip going, so you could control camera parameters while holding it like a camera.

AnonD-26875, 12 Jul 2013This camera galaxy s4 lte-a screen & hardware htc one d... moreHTC one loks nice but comparing to my L920 apart of its weight(does not bother me at all) Lumia is much more 'ergonomic' device. Easier to hold and operate. To me looks better too.
I have been using android and don't miss much using WP8 really.

This is the first phone after the N8 i really like and would love to have. Unfortunately after the N8 i reverted to Android which i am really satisfied with at the moment. But this phone oh well it looks really promising... so who knows i might give it a shot after all since i tried WP and its really smooth OS.

Amazing camera,good specification. Great job Nokia. But, still, the main problem is app and dev. support :(

is nokia now handphone or camera maker? so confusing!! if nokia wants to grab back their past succes, drop WP and change to android. Making good phone is key success, not by making good camera, unless Nokia wants to compete with Canon or Nikon.

I dont understand that why nokia Always introduces fones with beautiful designs and display but with irritating window OS which we hate alot and dont like and want , believe me i tried to buy nokia fones lot of times but i always stop myself just cuz of window OS

What the glitch. I read most of the comments and found that This device would have run Android, That bitch android? Grab a Lumia, use it and You would start commending on Galaxy s5 Review ' I wish it ran Windows Phone OS'

What nokia will do if there anything happens wrong in between nokia and Microsoft. Sorry....sorry.....sorry... I apologise for what I have written above...they have a home grown smartphone os 'asha platform' ..... ha....ha....ha...sorry again....

Anonymous, 12 Jul 2013its actually pretty poor compared to 808, it have terrible ... moreIm supporting symbian by posting comments about symbian's capabilities and I can see much more symbian fan who willing to buy a symbian device with upgraded specs ( not saying exactly what droids have ringht now) than wp8 but there is nothing from nokia. I was hoping that nokia will turn back on symbian as wp8 based lumias not giving nokia enough grip on market. So for me nokia is dead. Im not gonna buy crappy lumias or asha smartphones (they calling asha as smartphone).... sorry to nokia fans........ by the way im posting my comments from my Samsung galaxy tab2. After waiting for a windows 8 or rt based a nokia tablet for about a year I decided to own a galaxy tab...

3 years old tech because of operating system limitations... Nokia and Microsoft recipe for a big failure. No one will touch except for clueless users and fanboys.
