hi everyone,
I am just wondering if this phone can be personalized different alert modes on your phone. For example, setting the call & MMS alert to melody only then the SMS is on vibra mode and vice versa or whatever you pleased as long as you will have independent/different alert modes on those functions (call,SMS, MMS,broadcast message)without affecting each other.

Who did you contact to get the new batteries? What country are you from? Just wondering if i can still do this in the states after importing the phone. I just need to get a confirmation on the battery issue from samsung.

ok listen now to me the w800 is an ugly orange phone it has a crap walk man and the only reason the batery life is longer is because it is a mp3 phone it was made to play music i think the d600 has the best camera video and features tv out put and mp3 player its stylish ohhh and i love the charcole grey and its a cool phone for the ppl who want to make an enterance i mean for all occasions can u emagine using the w800 and going to a black tie party this orange thing its not even a phone its a box with wires and a tape recorder so go for the d600 its the best phone for any personality

Merbyn is ryt i hve jus recieve the nu battery it's great it lasts just as long as the SE W800 nd dah company did tel me tha evry single D600 hs a malfunction wid dah battery so ring

EVRY1 ring samsung dey giv u a nu battery i dunno bout tha ppol outside united kindom bt MERBYN really helped me cause nw my battery lasts 4 times as long nd i have bin listenin 2 music all day long nd dah battery is stil full thanks 2 MERBYN

My friend works there. He said they're selling the D600 for $250 Christmas special.
I don't remember the name of the store.. I think it was mobile town or something?
I can get you their phone number if you want.
If I only had 250 bucks in my hand right now I'd buy it. But since I'm getting $250 in February I'm kinda confused whether to buy D600 or N80 since it will be available when I have the money.

I do not know if it has some relation, but I observed that the battery kept double time (almost 4 days) when in the choice of frequency instead of quad band that is prequalification, i put GSM 900/1800.

hi i just bought this phone 1 week ago and i gotta say this is the best phone that i have ever had. battery life on my phone is great. phone is "flawless" i live in chicago and i have had a few people come up to me and ask where i got the phone. according to t-mobile....they are releasing this phone in either march or april of 2006.

Thanks for the advise on the # key for silent! thats great! is there a way of having a screen saver so you can see if you have any messages/missed call as the screen goes black when i close the slide as its really annoying having to open the phone to see if you have any text!!

Slide up/down is giving some problems like being rough or sometimes getting stuck. Do i need to oil the steel rods behind ? Has anyone faced the same problem ?

im struggling too.
D600 vs N80
N80 is a much better phone with a design that I think it's better.
But wait for N80 or buy D600? It's very difficult because I've been waiting for the D600 since last year April.
And I can get D600 with only $250 in Seattle.

To al.zand and phonelover. Samsung D600 is a good phone but Nokia has certainly made better phones. If you are a slider fan, Nokia 6111 is a small slider with features wich are average. The price of Nokia 6111 is not much compared to Samsung D600, infact it is much cheaper.If you like a slider with more memory and also memory card, you can go for Nokia 6270. If you like a stylish phone with allthe latest features, go for the Nokia 6230i :)
