Why dontwe flood the Samsung website with emails expressing our dissatisfaction?!
Or maybe O2 and other networks.
The one thing that kills a business (or phone in this case) is poor communication to the consumer, we our begging for a release date in stone! Is that to much to ask!

O2 CS says 29th now, and P4U says no way for 15th now - they reckon end of the month beginning of next....

I have some bad news. I have just phoned the Carphone Warehouse and they have told me that the Samsung D600 will NOT be out this month but sometime in October. I phoned the local branch and the manager said that the phone will no longer be coming out in September. I can't even begin to describe how angry I am at not only the manufacturers but the phone companies for messing everyone about. I have wanted to get this phone for ages and I've been told this and that but no-one has ever apologised for changing dates or anything!!!! I am now seriously considering getting another phone

Does anybody know if the new Samsung D600 can sort its Gallery in folders, just like all Nokias can?

I'm afraid with all this back and forth nonsense, consumers will end up just going for something else. My old contract has now ended and I wanted the D600, however the longer the release date is postponed I, and others will go for another model considering the other offers that are out there. After all its only a phone, a good one albeit but there will be other models doing the same functions. Hurry up Samsung and hurry up retailers - dont you realise your customers are getting frustrated now.

That's the problem - nothing personal intended, but you're the third person from O2 who has given a date - the first said 12th Sep for sure, then the second said 15th Sep for sure, and now you're saying "still" listed for release on 19th, as if it was always listed for 19th. 02 CS are saying 26th - the reality surely is that O2 will release it when it wants, and no-one actually knows when that is until supplies are dispatched to stores. Most stores don't even know that it is coming this month. One said definitely in September or maybe October, which made it clear they didn't have a clue.
P4U are claiming it will be out tomorrow, but that's pretty unlikely! Voda stores have pushed their date from 12th to 26th also, so it is looking like 26th is the most likely candidate at the moment, but who knows frankly, they could push that back too the day before.
It's all a bit frustrating - I wish manufacturers and retailers would just pick a date (even if it is much later) and stick to it absolutely rather than move it constantly, sometimes months after the phone is due to be released. This phone was due to be released around July!

In "Telecoms South Korea" you can read about how many have been made. It's subscription only, but you can read a key sentence by searching news.google.com: "CJ reported that about 60,000-70,000 units of D600 were churned out at the end of August and additional 680,000 units will be manufactured in September."

i work for 02 and the D600 is still due to be launched on the 19/06/2005. I have had the K750i didnt like it, then had the 6230i didnt like that, cant wait till this comes out.

Spoke to a sales guy @ theorder.co.uk today, an he reckons the d600 should be in stock in the next few days - sim free and contract. Wouldn't give me no prices though. Will the orange ones be branded i wonder ??

Well the two people that claimed to have one didn't post any pictures. So we still don't know if they're telling the truth and by the sounds of it the phone has been delayed again to the end of the month.

it may seem obvious that d720 is suppose to be better but stat wise d600 seems to have better camera resolution. so any idea on price comparison or anything would be great thanks ppl

Can you use your mp3 as ringtones with this phone? I have a Samsung p777 and you can not u can't use your downloaded mp3s as ringtones. you have to download from a third party web site.

We wish, I've heard nothing about any carriers in the US carrying the D600. That would be too logical. The rest of the world gets the god phones, and we get the freebies and an occasional nice phone
