      To rach.
This may not be a phone problem. It may be a mobile operator's problem.

      To INAM.
I really don't know whether the software or drivers can work under Windows 98.
Metering Exposure: select a method to determine the exposure of an image, based on a specific area of the image.
ISO: change the ISO setting, which controls the sensitivity of your camera. For low light
situations, select a higher ISO number. The
higher the ISO number, the faster the camera
shutter functions and the more sensitive the
camera is to light. Higher ISO settings may bring some distortion to an image.
About software version. I haven't met this version before.

      To moni.
This phone is quad-band. You can use it everywhere in the world.

To all. I beg, please if you have a manual, read it first, before asking a question here. You may get your answer quicker if you check the maual first.

      Greetings and enjoy D600. :)

Nice phone , but if u really want a good phone take a 6280 , who has just 1 week point (at some) u can`t receive bluetooth or infrared files larger then the internal memory ... in rest IT`S THE BEST (6280 of course :D )

HEY ALL OF U ONCE AGAIN !!!

I just wanna know, Is it true that u can't transfer data between ur mobile & PC when u have Windows 98 installed in ur PC. should it be XP??? or is there any way.

I also wanna know about "ISO" & "Metering exposure" in the camera settings. I don't exactly know what r there functions. And also about USB settings. It's currently on "modem" but I don't know about the other two ones "mass storage" & "pictbridge" (I think u can access to memory card through "mass storage" & print wirelessly through "pictbridge"). M I RIGHT??? PLZ somebody explain it to me.

I've checked my D600 software version. It's D600JPEK7. What about this software version "Ivo"???

"Ivo" if u can help me or somebody else. Bundle of Thanx...

Have A PLEASANT DAY To All Of U !!!

this phone rocks! until SE released w850 which is the first SE slider with a fascinating appearance too. and Nokia 6280 is good also, but many complaints have spread through the whole forum there. if i will rate the three ones:
                  1. SE W850 (Stylish, feature-packed walkman slider) ROck On!
                  2. SAMSUNG D600 (Stylish,elegant slider) Ur D best!
                  3. NOKIA 6280 (Buggy,3G slider) LOL!

Why is it only Nokia who realise you might want a ring tone and vibration at the same time. I'm tired of having to switch to vibration every time I go out the door onto a noisey street. Let me have both at the same time like Nokias so I can just set it and forget it.

Good set of features on the D600, but, the keys have a nasty clicky action and due to poor de-bounce in the software and the fact that keyboard tones are not instantanious (there is a delay between pressing the key and the sound occuring) text input in the normal non T9 mode is frustrating. Also the key bounce makes menu selection difficult as the cursor jumps down as you press the button and again as you release it. Key tones are also not adjustable in loudness.

About connecting your Mobile to PC Studio via USB cable. If you have firewall, disable it, or permit access to the internet for all PC Studio's executables. I also had difficulties connecting my Samsung via USB cable, it is important to set USB function to Modem. I suggest using bluetooth device, because of the greater speed. Enter *#1234# and tell me the software version. Earlier versions are very buggy. I cannot agree with that you have been told by the seller. Try this and tell me what happen. One more thing. I found that if you have an irc bot runnig on your PC, it will prevent your mobile to connect to your PC.

I havea huge problem: I have been given with the phone a UBS cable and a Samsung USB software. I tried to download the software and to transfer the datas from my old mobile to my pc, but this doesn't work (the software doesn't recognise any phone connected). I have been told by the seller of the shop that samsung makes software which don't work with all pc and that I would find on internet how to download a UBS software which would work. Can someone help, please? (it's very urgent as the screen of my old phone is broken and I practically lost all the datas saved in it -this is the only way to recover them).
                              Thanks for your help

                                To Zane.
I don't know the feaures of the EDGE version, but I guess that when you use EDGE (as long as you have an E, EGDE is enabled), GPRS is disabled. I have GPRS version. When I use GPRS, G is shown. I think you should ask mobile operatior for details about using EDGE or GPRS.

                                    To Divooneh.
Yes, there are differences between firmware versions. Earlier versions have too many bugs and make too many problems like restarts, hangs, and so on. But there aren't differences in functions, just fixing bugs.

                                    To Acheront.
You can adjust camera settings on the fly by pressing # (See camera shortcut keys). This changes white balance. You will see the difference. I found its fine point and I get wonderful pictures under different light. Camera functions can be found in manual or in options menu.

                                    To Fizzy.
You can program the four navigation keys to do different things. Like starting mp3 player, launch sms editor or something else.

Sorry i also would like to find out is there any shortcuts we can press for sending smses? Cos it seems like we hv to press alot of keys before we can finally send a sms.

N is there a way we can keep all the smses we typed in the drafts or sentbox automatically instead of hving to press save and send everytime? Cos im too used to nokia n i kind of forget that i hv to send all at a time if not the message will disappear.
