Has this happen to you? I signed into the instant messanger under yahoo yesterday and logged out when i was done. So then today i wanted to used AIM but it won't let me. As soon as i select instant messager, it hopes over to Yahoo automatically and does not allow me to decide which service i want to use. Anyone knwo how to fix this?

Finally.. the new Samsung series that I can fall in love with. I am really loving this one, but one disadvantage is - having to slide the phone out in order to use the cam. That'll make the handling a bit off during picture captures. Other than that it's fantastic!

Anthony you're speaking out of your arse.

The D820 is not 3G. Its got one cam and hardware-wise is identical to the T-809. The latter is just the T-Mobile branded version, which lacks a couple of features (no TV out cable in the box, MP3 Ringtones are restricted to DRM protected ones, etc).

Just got it yesterday for T-mobile. So far the phone is great. It's hard to say that especially since I love Nokia. Screen quality is excellent and your able to change colors of fonts and backrounds! The camera is not bad for a phone. The best part is that all this in this small phone is excellent. Motorola eat your heart out because the Razr wished it packed these features.

it depends on how much space you have, i have the t809 is a nice phone and you can even get a large size video.

the T809 usa t-mobile version is not 3G as the D820. the D820 has 2 cameras (for 3G) and t-mobile does not support this feature so they stripped the extra camera. I believe that's the only difference...

What is the difference in features between the D820 and the 809 from T-Mobile-USA?

cencalkidd (or anyone else that has used Samsung D809 on T-Mobile): What are some of the things that T-Mobile stripped out? What does an unlocked D820 have that the D809 does not? Curious because I was going to go pickup a D809 from a TMobile store, and am now in two minds. Thanks.

well samsung makes a great phone but of course i played with the t809 today and t-mobile ruined it. i guess all the release date push backs were because tmobile was stripping all the goodies off the device. DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND BUY A UNLOCKED D820 OR D600!!

I just played with this phone tonight! Fortunatly I am the brother of someone who works for a cellphone company :)

So some details that some of you might not know, the phone is pretty slim, very light & slides perfectly (unlike the d600)... is slides a lot like the d415...although, the sliding "sound tones" they have (5 to choose from) are not that great, ALL very girly sounding (unlike the d415 which had a futuristic sound)...

the main menu is different then the samsungs im used to, i personally dont like it (reminds of me of a sony erricson), i miss the classic samsung menu, the sidescroller...

although, besides the MAIN PAGE layout, every other menu is perfect! you'll have to see it to know what im talking about...

most phones ive messed with had a certain "loading" time between menus, etc (like a millisecond, but it gets annoying)...with this phone, everything seems to navigate real smooth

Well I think ive talked to much, but i just used it tonight, and this is my first post ever on GSMARENA :)

Now this is my opinion in my experience of the phones I have used...

MOTOROLA's seem to always release 1 phone that just looks ridiculously sleek (Motorola V70, Razor)...but that is ALL that is good, menu layout sucks, features suck, etc

SAMSUNG's have by FAR the best layout, the best features & the best phone book entries/text messaging (although it sucks i cant save outbox messages automatically), and samsungs have very good looking phones (not as good looking as some motorolas though)...

NOKIA's are alright, nothing bad, but nothing too good, just comparing it to a motorola / samsung it looks bad :(

SONY ERICCSON's just suck overall. I am a HUGE sony guy, every electronic i buy must be sony...its just too bad sony can't come up with sweet phones...with some of their phones i feel like its not even a sony product, just a erricson

                            anyway, this is too long

I think its just a D600 which was drove over bi a car, the lens of the camera broke so they stole one from an earlier model, and then they fiddled around with the keypad making it even uglier.. good job samsung..

It is a very slim d600 with a 180 degrees rotating camera. Very cool
