MUNCH, the default password of the phone is 00000000(eight zeroes), for all purposes.
Change it immediately.

Kofi; (Video recording settings)
Recording mode - Normal....size - 320x240....Quality - superfine is the best but will take more bytes. So you can't continously record long videos. for short videos 5-10 min, superfine suitable. For long videos select 'Normal'.....View finder- Standard ratio view(never put in full screen view or while playing, you'll see things you didn't actually want to record! )....White balance- won't recommend auto. see my post for camera settings, below....and better keep flash 'off'(the only use of it is to discharge batery)
If you want to set a video clip as caller id for a contact, set recording mode; LIMIT FOR MULTIMEDIA MESSAGES, size 176x144 and you can record upto 30-40 seconds, after recording, from options, choose 'SET AS CALLER IMAGE'
WHILE PLAYING VIDEO, PRESS 1 FOR FULL-SCREEN

CONVERSATION RECORDING;
In some versions, there is this feature. So while making a call, select options and check whether it is included. if not, you can try this method:
When the conversation starts, type #*22671#. A message will announce recording started. press 'c' to exit. To stop recording type #*22672#. To pause, type #*22673#. Then go to my files...sounds..my voice clips to find the saved conversation.
NOTES:
1.enetr the digits carefully.
2.DON'T FORGET TO TYPE #*22672# after conversation, or it will continue recording!!

to rrrc,,,im using between 3x 1gb memory cards at moment in transflash size which has now changed to micro sd format as part of the sd family..It is suggested that sd format would be the way forward a few years ago but not absolutly sure that it still is and the only diff between mmc and sd is the lock part on the card itself..I am using sandisk,,toshiba and mobymemorys own micro sd cards with perfect ease but their is a problem with some d900 not accepting 1gb while some can take the 2gb cards..If you go to mobymemory or samsung sites they only will positivly assure you that a 512 mb card will work but i am fairly positive that if you buy sandisk 1gb it will work,,WHY sandisk well im going on what everyone else says that they are the best and a safe bet and coincidently wen i bought jessops (uk) own brand of memory card it come up on my comp as sandisk !!!Its one of those questions that if samsung cant even answer the question for people and they dont even know that their are different samsung d900"s about then the consumer has no chance.!!
Is it not possible for you to ask somone with a 1gb card to see if it works because i use the cards in my lobster 700tv and a motorola v3x on the three network and record off the tele using the sandisk v-mate video recorder ok..but the v3x does store vids,,photos,,songs in different folders which show up outside the main d900 folders,,i say this in case you try this and the folders do not show and automatically assume a 1gb will not work..
I tell you somthing these people on the end of fones trying to diagnose a fault must be really,,really tolerant because answering blind questions on this forum is a nightmare wen your not seeing the device and then trying to explain it to somone who may not understand what you are meaning,,,imagine wanting a computer to go on the net with, bringing it home setting it up the CRASH you have wrecked it cause it full of worms and bugs because you did not have firewall/anti-virus on it ,,,,in other words wat if you did not even know you had to have these things on it????? I would like manufacturers to give a full list of the fone you buy and exactly wats,wat and they should know if they test it and this kind of info shud be their in your face.. Urgent cautions should be right in your face as you open the packaging to get to your purchase a booklet of urgent do"s /dont"s and then the customer or end user knows exactly whats wat and things would inevitabley be a lot simpler and we would know where we stand...
I may have perhaps gone over the top BUT perhaps gone over the top is exactly wats needed !!!

MUNCH: (camera settings) To me, these are the best:
1.Size: The exact size for 3MP cam is 2048x1536. But file size large and I feel large resolution photos to be very sensitive to hand movements. So, for viewing in pc and average sized prints, 800x600 or 1024x768 enough. Increase size for large prints. And for viewing in phone only or for wallpaper, even 320x240 enough.
2. QUALITY- superfine
3.VIEW FINDER MODE- Select 'full screen view' ONLY IF you want to set the photo as wallpaper. For photos to be printed and viewed in big screen, use 'STANDARD RATIO MODE'.
4. Focus mode- Auto Focus
5.Scene-normal
6.Exposure- center weighted/spot
7.WHITE BALANCE- Don't use 'Auto'.(digital cams may automatically adjust white balance to light condition, but this cam will not)Name of each option will tell you when to use it! Take the same scene in sunlight-outdoors with different white balance settings (press 6 to change WB setting while in camera mode)and view it in PC to see the difference.
8.ISO- Auto......and Flash also Automatic.

MUNCH. Tap in "Camera Settings" at foot of this page and search opinions. You will see some suggestions I made earlier. This will also give you a vertical picture in "My Photos".
Re Silent mode, press and hold # button (bottom right). Having done this, you have a choice of Vibration only, or mute. Go MENU 9 - 4 - 6 Select and Save.

Can any one help me regarding D900. I whant to expand my external memory card to 2GB. Is the mobile accepts it. I came to know that D900 has only 512MB of external memory capacity?. Is that true
