This is a fantastic phone. Gorgeous looking, lovely screen colours and sounds, and now that I have adjusted the video recording mode to "Normal" (not forgetting to press 1 for Full screen when playing back ) I can say that the picture quality is excellent. The D900 is very light, and you could say delicate. It might not stand up very long to heavy business use. I am thrilled to own it, and feel that I am at the cutting edge of today's technology. Can't stop playing with it. The D900 that is.

I REALLY need to no if the Samsung D900 can support a 2GB memory card. For some reason when putting one in it tells me that i=theres a error so im not sure if its the phone has a problem or it just doesnt support 2GB

    ./...........................

Suggestion. Turn phone off>insert memory card>turn phone ON>FORMAT!!!!

NO card will work until you FORMAT it. same as a hard drive on your computer

Thank you AURELIEN. That's really helpful. OK now. Still don't think much of the video QUALITY though (even though I am on SF )

To Cheemeng. The sliding mechanism works fine. Just make sure you push it all the way up - otherwise the keypad will be wobbly. I just use my phone for telephone calls and texting (strange ! ) and the battery life is fine for me.

To Dreal. In answer to your question, there is an "OFFLINE" mode.

Is there an airplane mode on this phone?
I want to use the mp3 player on a plane and not get incoming calls. Anyone know about this?

                                  Hi Tshid Sibanda & Maxima.
Keypad tones are a pain. Go to menu 9.3.6 and change the Dial Display from Theme to Normal. This means you no longer have the funky pen writing the numbers when you dial, but thats no real loss. The go to menu 9.4.2 and you should have a number of options for the Keypad tone - I chose "Beep" as it is the softest, you can turn it off from this screen. Be aware that if you go back to 9.3.6 and select Theme again you will loose the tone setting. Also, when you unlock the keypad you can use the volume control on the left side of the phone to adjust the key tone volume or turn it off.

My D900 video recording lasts for about 45 seconds max. Is this right ?? Would a memory card improve things?
