guys i hope u understand 1 thing, usually when a phone or any phone got problem is not usually the phone's fault, maybe is the user who use the phone. So don just keep blaming on the phone itself. Sometime the phone spoil maybe also due to the handling of the phone when they sell to u or the manufacturing batch problem...
so pls think before u say the phone sux or anything. If ur phone really got problem, u still got ur warranty right? Nothing is perfect ok? Includes human also. Hope u guys know what im saying. Thanks for the consideration.

      my d900 version is

      D900DXGA2

      G = Year (2007)

      A = JAN

      2 = FIRMWARE RELEASE IN MONTH ( 2 nd revision )

      but i want to know , what does dx means....i know it refers to country / region....can u tell me rajesh which country it belongs to ?

      and it seems the screen crack problem occurs only in UK sets. may be one batch is having the same problem.

      i purchased one spare battery and it costs me Rs 250 /- in india ( chennai ). also i do have one universal battery charger . so i charge my both the batteries thru charger to avoid any kind of screen problem.

      rajesh ...thsanks for titanic wp.

      can u get animated for those wallpapers.

        This phone sux! I've had this phone for less than 8 months and both batteries are now DEAD. after one phone call that lasts bout a minute the batter starts to run LOW, and shuts off! it has a nice camera, but how the f*ck am i supposed to use it if there are no batts. i have to keep charging it ALL day long. I have 2 batteries for it, but what use is that...one call per batt.

        does anyone else have this problem?

                  RAJESH. My fone shows me:
                  Dev.Version
                  D900XEFG4
                  To tell you the truth, that dosen't tells me much... :)
                  Now, after finishing my work day, I think I'll post something on my 4shared. Take care of you, boys! See ya with some new tricks on D900 :)
                  Maxima, I MISSED YOU SO MUCH!!! I'm very glad that you're here again! Maybe we'll get some jobs on Samsung Mobile, because we work so hard to help the people understand the mystery of D900 (less me) :) So, Maxima, we understand that you have a family, but do not forget about us! Bye! :D

                      Got this phone back in sep 06 because of good reviews. Me and a few of my friends are real tech heads and now we've all ended up with one. one real thing to say about it. stay well clear it is the most useless phone on the market today, out of 6 people i know with this phone they have all reported the same 'nothing but trouble since day one'

                              TUDOR; Samsung has to answer for features missing in that version or this. Possibly your phone misses the calendar option also - in display settings. And I already knew that your version is not likely to be newer than me, as I remember You answering my enquiries when i had been looking to buy this handset !! :-D

                              Ways are out there still. That is flashing your phone with the latest firmware, under expert/authorised supervision. But it will void the guarantee and only if you feel strong need for SOS message etc.

                              NOW TUDOR, I'M VERY INTERESTED to know your firmware version - could you please post it here? Type *#1234# in standby. Thanks.

                                    BATTERY LOW INDICATION; 1.Make sure that 'key volume' is not set to zero(Press the volume keys on the side, while in standby)
                                    2.Go to settings...sound settings...extra tones, select indicative tones and press ok.
                                    (But that tone is not very loud)

                                      TUDOR. Thanks Tudor I am still around. Got a bit fed up answering the same old questions !! I am available on a consultancy basis if Rajesh gets stumped - which is unlikely. Best wishes to all.

                                        Thanks Rajesh, that's exactly how my phone feels, a little loose when opened but OK when closed.

                                        Thanks again
