I have a problem with my E900. Whenever I try to make a call or sending SMS, it takes ages to get connected. Sometimes the signal bars will go to nil and come back up again. When I say slow, it's like taking a whole minute or more to get a ringing tone. Has anyone experienced this before?

had this phone for over a month, very smart, very stylish, looks great but just doesnt perform great, it has the worst mp3 player around, the headset is poor and the sound is terrible the equalizer has only 4 settings, normal, rock, jazz or classical(shocking), the key pad is fine when you get used to it, vivid txt mode is excellent, and it packs lots of features for a small phone, i use this for going out at night and use my W800i for the mp3 player, playing games is quite hard if you want to do any good, for looks you cant beat this phone, as for performance it is poor, pay the price for style? EVERYTIME to look good !!!!! Too busy looking good

I read trough the comments and foudn that the major disadvantage is actually the confirmation msg that we need to settle in order to send an sms.
So, to all E-900 lovers can i know in detail what are the confirmation questions they ask, and what button toshould be pressed to "confirm" it? hopefully it is not something like a "yes, no, yes". And after using for sometime, is it bearable?

to save SMS from sim to phone: go to your inbox, select the message, touch 'options' and number 4 should be 'Move to phone'
its funny, ppl that complain about the touch sensitive feature, can't type for crap. event the keyboard's too much for their clumsy hands.

The phone only arrived yesterday, and I'm already thinking about selling it on ebay. The manual seems to have been written with the aim of telling you nothing that isn't obvious, however the help file in the 'pc studio' software that comes with it beats the phone manual at its own game - it is ludicrously unhelpful. The phone will accept 'music' and 'sounds' from your pc - does it tell you anywhere which formats are which? It does not, it just refuses to upload. Then when you finally work out how to use the sound editor to save a song in a different format, and upload it to the phone - but not in the folder you want (that would be too easy) to a different folder, then transfer it on the phone handset (does the manual say anything whatsoever about folders? Of course not) after all that when you try to set the sound for an alarm - you get a smug message 'Not allowed'.
It doesn't look like it will show the time in standby, either.
Why have Samsung wasted their time making the phone edit images when anyone who cares already has such software on their pc, and not bothered with things it might be quite useful for a phone to do?

I had this phone two days and sent it right back. I thought it was rubbish. The camera shutter speed is really poor u end up with a blurred screen 9 times out of ten. U have to confirm 3 times to send a text. The touch screen is very annoying. T9 text mode is poor compared to Nokia. The sound quality when on the phone is awful its really fuzzy. And all the other things everyone else has said. Trying the K800i its due to arrive nxt wk fingers crossed it'll be better but it wouldnt be hard!

This phone is absolute tat. It's a step backwards in every way. No MP3 support for SMS. Poor menus with no animation. Overly sensitive keys. No vibration with ring. No way to set T9 to default (maybe a firmware issue). I'm sure there was more negatives but that's enough, the only positive was it's size. I got it expecting so much more and ended up selling it on within a couple of days. Absolute crap. Stay clear of this over hyped rubbish.

I got the e900 yesterday after a long wait with it being out of stock at o2 and although I am impressed with the touch screen (surprisingly easy to use) the camera is also great I am a little irritated with the noise the phone tends to make when I press a wrong button. I don't think it does this while on silent but whilst not there does not seem a way to turn it off. hopefully i will just get used to it and stop making the noise!

About the keypad, this is a new technology, very unique and fashionable. I guess most of the user must be used to it in order to take full advantage of this technology.

Just got the E900 as a new works phone and i must say i am very impressed.
The connectivity of the device is superb, just what is needed in my line of work. Giving presentations on your phone is supurb, as is the ability to play back video on the TV. All standard samsung features i know.
As for those now infamous buttons.. i dont know what people are complaining about. They're very simple to use, its a simple light sensor. You break the beam, the button is triggered. Simple! Ive not once lost a message through accidentaly using the buttons.
This is a great phone. The build quality appears to be good, its robust, yet not heavy, and the style is very Chique!
Well done samsung.. a brilliant phone all around. 9/10

the best way to save a message is in my messages scroll down to my folders then createa name for your folder, then wen u finish reading text it gives you option to move to my folders.security:u can prevent ppl looking at anything on your phone or accidently calling anyone by following the simple guides. 1.go to settings 2.security settings.3.change pin(default is 00000000) 4.back.5.privacy (select privacy) thats you done its a great feature if you have any personal stuff,

I wrote a user review of this phone a couple of days ago. You can find it by scrolling back.
This is the coolest-looking phone around.
However, I would say that it is not the easiest to use though partly because of the sensitive touch keys, the unweildly text input and sending facility and the poorer user interface when compared to a Nokia for instance. The manual is also appallingly-written and laid out.
The phone I think that is the best, meaning you will get the most out of it for general use is the Nokia 6233.
I went for the Samsung as it could store more text mesages than a Nokia. Unless this is high on your list of wants, I would look elsewhere.
Having said this, I love the phone, I like its' size and looks but I also do realise that it may not be for everyone.
