Just ordered this phone on contract and seem to be regretting it after reading some of your opinions, my phone arrives tomorrow, should i send it back and get either "Nokia N73" (3.2 MP camera) or the "D900" (3.15 MP Camera) post your views please, bear in mind the D900 is as big as a razor!!

Hi
I'm pretty happy with my E900. What I don't like:
- Number of Calendar items limited to 100 (should be unlimited)
- Vibrate only before ring, not in parallel
- Email client weird (recently downloaded messages >3 months old from pop server)
Do any firmware upgrades exist to fix these problems?
Cheers

@vali
this phone does alot of things..its just that you DONT KNOW how to do it
1)transfering java from cpu to the e900 needs another special program i think its optiflash but not sure..
2)when was the moto c115 out?!
3)usually how do u search ur contacts if its not by the first letters?! u do it by using the last letters i guess..
4)well for this one i have nothing to say..the middle screw me out too
5)well actually compared to SE with QCIF res. samsung has CIF as resolution and SE are "considered as the best"
6)just read the manual dude
7)yes u can answer phone when its down..press the unlock key/power(its gonna unlock the pphone when its down) and then press the answer key
8)keys can be turned off by putting the phone in silent mode!! or u can turn them off and keep the ringtone by going in the sound setting menu..
oh yeah btw the firware is the latest one from samsung not like their previews phone so i dunno what ure talking about but its like the best they have done in a century loll

Many of you are wondering how to unlock telephone when it's down. Just press the power button on the right side, and that is that.

Hello,
I have been trying to buy this phone and am a bit confused between this and the Nokia N72.
Can you do instant messaging using the samsung e900?
Please say this phone is like the LG chocolate , but does it have the i-pod like wheel? Chocolate has it..
And if the buttons are heat activated, what happens when you put in in the pocket or in the case or something...
What all colors is this available in?
Also does it have a speaker phone?
How are the speakers when listening to mp3's?
And the last question is, does it have a fm radio?
Will really appreciate it if someone can reply to these questions..

Well, this phone may look nice but it drives me mad. Its touch sensitive keys are a real pain, I keep ringing people by mistake and sending messages to drafts simply by thumbs passing over the 'phone' and 'cancel' keys. Would suit a left handed person maybe, or these keys need to be moved up out of the way.

have just got the phone and am really impressed, touch buttons need a little getting used to but give a nice look and are unique, good quality camera and yes it does have a place to tie in phone charms, on the top right hand corner.
a good phone overall.

Ok.. so I'm using the D600 right now... and I wanna buy a new phone... I liked the whole new concept of touch sensitive buttons and saw the LG k800 (Chocol8) first and was super impressed with it... but then saw the E900 and was even more impressed since its got better functions and better camera and all that good stuff. But my question is......
- Is this worth a buy over the Samsung D600 since its got the exact same features as the d600 except for the touch screen...
- The Samsung E900 or the "D"900 ? which one should I go for?
Some advice would help.

WHO CAN HELP ME????
I've just bought the e900 and I'm mad, it doesn't do what i thought at all... It does nothing!
it is just expensive and beautiful!
and now, the bad parts are: THE SOFT IS THE WORST I HAVE EVER SEEN IN MY LIFE!!
EXAMPLE:
1) HOW CAN I TRANSFER JAVA GAMES FROM MY COMPUTER TO MY PHONE?
I subscribed myself in the "samsung mobile forum" and saw that there is someone else that has the same problem!
2) when you arange yor contacts is very frustrating.. you need to touch the yes button for 3 times.. My mother's motorola c 115 is much easier!
3) looking for a contact isn't a nice action... you can just search for the first letters
4) you was supposed to be able to edit the shortcuts but it is useless!!! for the five buttons on the front you can only select what they want! so you can't take out from the middle button the browser, you can't put the contacts on any of the middle buttons (as nokia has!!!!)...
5) the video clips doesn't have the resolutions so high...
6)the calendar... well, how can I add a task the next week and make the phone remind me the next week about the task???
7) Can you answear the phone having the slide closed??? (no!!!, you have to slide the phone each time you want to answear so it can break quickly)
8) you can't turn the sound of the keys totally off!
9).. 10) .. and so on, I'm bored to say again and again that my phone is the worst!samsung looks good but nokia is the best!
