It has a cover for the screen so that will allow us to prevent us from accidentally touching the sccreen.

Does Samsung F480 comes with a qwerty typepad? And can it do that portrait/landscape conversion thingy like the Omnia?
And does anyone who has had the phone for a while now has any problem with paint erosion from the silver frame around the sides of the phone? I had a major problem with peeling paint for Samsung U700 despite taking care of it really well.
And finally, seems like there is no way to take a photo with the front camera? Is that right?

i am planning to buy the f480... it seems to me like a compy of iphone... since i cant afford dat at present, samsung f480 comes pretty close... ive checked the sensitivity of the touch screen.. brilliant!! what i a worried bout is the battery life and also, a comment i read dat da screen ain good enuff for the 5mp camera....

keryn, 27 Aug 2008May I Know how is the battery life for this F480 phone? ThanksBattery life is surprisingly good. I found a good way of extending the battery life by just turning down the screen brighness down from settting 5(max) to setting 3 it doubled the life, I can usually go four days without charging.

Anonymous, 26 Aug 2008Is fingerprints an issue for this phone, as is the case wit... moreYes finger prints are an issue, but so are all touch screen phones! It wipes clean easily though. It doesn't work with a stylus, it only registers your fingers.
This is my third touch screen phone and this is the easiest one I have ever used for sending texts, I can type faster than a normal keypad, it doesn't take any getting used to.

stephen conn, 26 Aug 2008howcome i cant watch you tube on mine but my friend can on ... moreto be able to watch youtube and other 3G videos you need to select these settings on the phone: menu>settings>network settings or network services>UMTS>save
secondly, go to menu>settings>application settings>media player settings>VOD settings>select your service provider.
if you do not have UMTS option on your phone, then you need to contact your network provider to activate 3G sevices on your simcard.
