absolute waste of money the battery lasts a matter of hrs compared to a nokia which needs charging every other day i would not recommend this from a firm that makes washing machines and crap televisions .................samsung ....NEVER AGAIN

i have been using the ph 4 about 8months but idon,t like the ph bcos i have to charge the battery everyday.i cannot recommend it for anyone

Actually I'm thinking of get... morei have had this phone for 2 years, it is not bad but it really depends on your purpose of usage etc. my sister has a samsung phone that is older than F480 but her phone has wi-fi which F480 does not have(this is the only thing i would complain about really) other than that, i would say it worths the buy; when i got it in 2008 it bought it for £200

My F480 has started to give a number of repeat sound alerts about a newly received SMS. I want to know how to go back to only an initial alert sound.

Oh man, this phone does the trick for me. Why would I want a smart phone? I am smart enough to know I dont need a smart phone.

I've had this phone for over a year now and I'm getting really ancious to replace it by a better phone.
The phone itself works great and I very seldom have problems using it. Also the phone book is great and easy to manuever.
Compared to some newer smartphones the F480 is quite small and thus they've excluded the qwerty keyboard in the software. However the numeric keyboard works great and it's actually very easy to write somewhat fast using the T9.
This phone was one of the first to implement Samsungs TouchWizz technology generating a small "buzz" when touching the screen which imitates the feeling of actually pushing a physical button. This or similar technologies are now standard in most smartphones.
As the phone grows older it tends to slow down in it's touch-screen reactions.
The camera is, like most other camera phones, rather poor of quality. For landscape photos and alike it's great, but for everything else it's pretty much useless and the anti-shake function even seems to make things worse instead of better. Don't use it for photographing people...
Also the bluetooth has for me been a dissapointment. I had two bluetooth headsets that I used for my earlier phone (also a Samsung) but with this new one the headsets loses connection pretty much right after having connected. I haven't used my headsets at all since I bought this phone. I wrote to Samsung in the hope of them producing a firmware update in which they'd turn up the volumen of the bluetooth antenna. This never came! However connection to my PC using bluetooth works fine, although it's not possible to disconnect unless you turn off bluetooth.
Browsing the internet on this phone os surprisingly good, especially if you install the Opera 5 mobile browser. The standard browser does not have a zoom in/out functionality. Be aware that the phone does not support Java-script or Ajax - and surtainly not Flash.

heheehe, 14 Aug 2010How do you put photos you take on your samsung f480 onto yo... more@hehehe:if your pc has a bluetooth you can transfer the images from ur cp directly to the computer using the same way.other option is to download a software for it...e.g.pc suit, then do the rest!

Please help me..i cant make video calls with my F480. I receive this message: call ended anytime i try making video call even though i have activated 3G and am always within a 3G coverage. Am really worried. Please help me
