have you checked the status of screen timeout under display options???I think if screen time out is less(30 sec/1 min) battery usage will be less...Stand by time is the time after which the screen is automatically turned off.

ani, 03 Aug 2012hi,i recently got this phone,i like it very much,the only t... moreclose unused apps on stand by... let bluetooth, wifi, 3g, etc offline unless you are using them. You may also decrease the brightness of the screen, which helps a little.

hi,i recently got this phone,i like it very much,the only thing is the battery goes soo fast,like in 1 day is gone,i installed juicedefender,i think it helps a little not too much tho,i see @ the battery usage there is cell stand by,and its using all my battery,can someone help me with that?any ideeas how to get ride of cell stand by?thanks a lot!!!

i've installed kies and the samsung usb driver but somehow it wasn't detected on odin. i've reinstalled kies and the usb driver twice, switching to another usb port, still gave same result. am i missing something? any help please

here is the things which you will require to upgrade your 551
1. download the firmware from Samsung-updates.com or www.sammobile.com/firmware/.
2. make sure u have d Callisto V1.0.ops or u can download it from google.
3. download the Odin tool.
and for further steps please GOOGLE, there are many sites which provides steps to upgrade 551
it takes hardly 4-5 mins to upgrade the 551 to 2.3.6
hope this will help you...
