I would steer clear of Realme/Vivo as they have stopped trading in the UK. So, updates may be slow and good luck with customer support & after sales service.
I feel there will be trouble with Samsung in the near future. They cannot keep making devices which are "premium" as more and more Android OEMs are making their devices better.
For example, a £1000+ Galaxy phone but with a slow 45w charging, slow fingerprint sensor, slow touch response rate, low PWM dimming, incompatible with third-party launchers due to poor gestures navigation implementation, overall dimensions are getting bigger/taller/wider, etc. You may call it innovation. Or just "following a trend" . These are just things some people do look to on a phone. Sure each year there are incremental hardware upgrades and updates may seem faster than other brands but i still think Samsung remains arrogant and takes advantage of people not realizing there are equally good brands out there.

In your opinion what Android OEM would you consider has a "better" quality control, stable software, and after-sales service apart from Samsung?
Just to also remind you there are dozens of reasons why users tend to shift to a different phone. It's not necessarily a bad thing. It just shows perhaps their needs differs from us and vice versa.

Pmm3, 15 Sep 2024My Conclusion is A54 is better than A35 better optimization... moreNah, I wish that manufacturers never moved away from the standard 16:9 format for phones because this whole trend of full-screen displays with no bezels is just dumb. I miss having useful things like physical navigation keys, front-facing stereo speakers, iris scanner, and LED notification light.

It's not just these things that I miss, but I also miss when you can easily tell which phones are which just by looking at their front. Now with the era of notches and punch holes, every darn phone looks the same on the front.

My Conclusion is A54 is better than A35 better optimization a little better display I think A54 Have HDR10 ,better quality Stereo Sound and Clarity the Same processor Exynos and advantage for A54 it's a little small 6.4" display! A35 have single Advantage because received one year + Software Support but it's a little big 6.6" !
It's not bad and quality build it good but this horrible format 19:5:9 I hate . 20:9 it's perfect! Build quality it's Okay.
But Moto Edge 40 it's a fenomenal and enough to powerful with MTK 8020 now in my country the price drops just 200 Euro. In comparison with A35 it's fantastic display P OLED 1200 Nits up to 144 Hz HDR 10 it's gorgeous l ❤️ the format 20:9 it's awesome! Android Stock it's beautiful the phone it's very light and slim and Max (HBO) Disney plus see fantastic on Edge display!! I feel like Cinema!!! To bad for Moto because not offer a better Software Support 5 years (4 Major + 1 Security) exactly like Sammy!!
Sammy STOP 19:5:9 format it's not applicable for all phone !!!!

Hi ! I buy yesterday A35 but sincerely I don't worth 260 USD variant with 128Gb/ 6 GB ram ! Security Patch it's 1 July 2024 ! A54 have 1 August from to weeks ago! It's very big in hand but I buy a super slim 2mm transparent case and I put Mat film Protector on display because it's heavy! The same Problems with signal exactly like A54 The Stereo Sound it's Ok .Camera I don't know because I'm blocking all permission! The Google Play System it's not updating its block to February 1 2024. I don't know how can I force to update!
Eny 💡 idea or it's a problem with Server??
I erase or close all majority App Sam and google !! Free your phone and I don't subscribe to Sammy account never ever!
Have a nice week! All the best!

Like a £200 mid-range phone having comparable CPU performance to £700 flagship phones. So Samsung doesn't have to worry about selling its devices at a premium.

But in countries like China, Samsung has to think twice because the competition there is extremely fierce. Let me give you an example - the Realme GT Neo6 SE, it costs only £200, but look at the specs:

                - Curved LTPO display (yes, LTPO!) with 1264p resolution
                - Snapdragon 7+ Gen 3 (almost comparable to Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 in performance)
                - UFS 4.0
                - 50MP main camera with OIS
                - 4K 60fps recording
                - 5500mAh battery
                - 100W charging

I mean, don't all of these sound like flagship-worthy specs to you? Sadly, you'll never get a phone like this outside of China without a highly inflated price.

It's definitely quite hot, but at least the throttling isn't too bad. And yes, you will experience frame drops especially in longer gaming sessions. I recommend playing at lower graphics settings if you want to keep the temps low and save battery life.

Anonymous, 13 Sep 2024Better to get a34 if u play genshin, farlight84 etc.. No, the A34 is more than a year old and is most likely out of stock everywhere. It's also slightly inferior in performance to the A35.

Better wait for the A35 to go on sale if you want to save some cash.

Gino76ph, 12 Sep 2024I tend to listen to advice and feedback but i also tend to ... moreWell, stats say that most people (around 2/3 of phone buyers) just stick to buying from the same brand they had bought before. So it's not exactly easy to convince loyal Samsung, iPhone, Xiaomi, or OnePlus users to recognize that there are better value phones out there, especially when most people don't switch phones every few months or so like you do.

Besides, better value doesn't always equal a better phone. Bargain specs on paper don't mean anything when the phones themselves lack quality control, stable software, and after-sales service to back up.

I know plenty of people who care more about specs than anything else, who like to think they're smarter buyers than everyone else, but they really aren't. I used to be that kind of person.

I just wish more people would recognize and appreciate other brands as I do think they are doing a tremendous job in improving their devices each year such as I mentioned OnePlus and Motorola. People just need to give themselves a chance to look at them. And try them.
I hate it when people just tend to stick to one and act as if they know everything.

We have to wait for deals or discounts half way through the year before we feel we can a good deal. Unless you go the eBay route which in some cases you can have a mint condition device almost half the price but you just have to really scrutinize it.

versus.2, 12 Sep 2024In this smartphone gaming performance is good or bad?For demanding games, you can expect 30-40fps on low-medium settings on Genshin Impact, Wuthering Waves, CarX Street, Zenless Zone Zero, etc.

For competitive shooters like PUBG and COD Mobile, you can play on low settings at 60fps, or high settings at 40fps.

For Mobile Legends, you can play on ultra graphics at 120fps. You get roughly around 90-120fps depending on the scenario.

In this smartphone gaming performance is good or bad?
