Gino76ph, 05 Sep 2024Pointless for Samsung to release these too many phones. Especially that many of them are fake "models". They're just copies of A series phones with a different for Samsung to fool customers.
But Samsung won't provide any real choices. For instance, many people would love the compact S24 but can't afford it, so a mid-range or budget device (with a medium chip) at that size would be amazing, and many people would buy it. But Samsung doesn't want to provide the non rich with real choice.

I see no point of releasing too many models. If you maintain just a right couple of devices then it will be easier for you to keep track of them and push updates.
I really think Samsung users sometimes do not think or have no other choice. There are many really good cheaper and better (in many ways) than a Samsung phone. People just need to look. And if you are patient enough you will be rewarded by discounts and offers after a few months of release. Phones such as OnePlus and Motorola which i can vouch for.

Anonymous, 03 Sep 2024At this rate, by the time the year's up there should b... moreXiaomi does the exact same strategy, yet no one cares. In pretty much all of the forums here of current Xiaomi phones, I've only ever encountered ONE person who wants a cheap compact Xiaomi, that's pretty much it. Even then, nobody replied to their comment, meaning no one else cares enough about compact Xiaomi phones.
Before you say "they don't release as many phones as Samsung". Well, Xiaomi have released 25 phones so far this year, 6 of which are duplicates under the "Poco" branding. Meanwhile, Samsung have released 17 phones, 8 of which are duplicates.
And before you say "It's because there aren't as many Xiaomi users as Samsung users", Xiaomi is the #3 phone company in the world right now, with as many as 42M phones shipped in Q2 2024. Samsung is still ahead at 53M, but 42M is hardly a small number at all.

Anonymous, 02 Sep 2024Oh, but Samsung DOES release tons of models. It's just... moreAt this rate, by the time the year's up there should be an "A55", "B55", "C55", "D55", and every letter of the alphabet with it's own "55" version. All exactly the same device with perhaps some slight modification in some of them. Each version for another country or two, maybe even just one city, or street. Who even knows.
This is what the brilliant Samsung is up to, and how they spend their free time. But even one new compact mid-range phone is obviously too much for them. Poor thing.

That's like saying "can people live without blood?". You're talking about memory cards for god's sakes, they're an accessory, not a necessity. Think of a memory card as a bag or purse, you can live without them. Batteries are equivalent to blood, you'll die without it.

You take it to a service center, mister. See what they can do with it. Otherwise, buy a new phone. You don't need a genius to tell you this if you're an active GSMArena user.

People want to discuss with you on the matter, but you just shoo them off and misunderstand them because you can't handle conflicting viewpoints or being criticized. Take a good look at yourself before saying they're wasting your time when in fact you're the one wasting your own and theirs with all your blathering.

Gino76ph, 02 Sep 2024These phone companies don't see the point of releasing... moreOh, but Samsung DOES release tons of models. It's just that many of the "models" are fake. Meaning they're almost identical to A-series models with slight changes to trick the gullible into thinking there's an abundance of choice. Then they just slap a "M-series" or "F-series" name as if it's really something new or different. Heck, the A55 even has a "C55" and "M55s".
Now for the tons of budget customers that want a phone that's not so big and heavy (like the compact S model) there's nothing. Obviously. Despite the potential for a big profit. But not all Samsung planners are smart or even have common sense.

Anonymous, 01 Sep 2024You're absolutely correct. And not only the so-called ... moreThese phone companies don't see the point of releasing too many phones and variants of their phones. If you got too many models for each region then it is difficult to be on top of updates. That's just the way it is.
Why not follow the model of OnePlus or even Motorola. Give the people two mid-rangers (A3x or A5x or Nord CEx or Moto Gxx) two flagships (S2x, Nord X, Moto Edge Neo/Fusion) and an "ultra" or "Pro" flagship.
Keeping 5-6 models is so much easy to maintain and monitor rather than 10-12 devices.

Use your common sense. If phone... more"Use your common sense. If phone memory goes defective, you cannot recover the data. But if memory card goes corrupt, you can recover as much data as you can."
What about the data that's still stored in your phone, that you wanted to back up but you either can't or forgot to? Memory cards are not saviors for data loss because you can't backup everything there. Also, did you even bother reading my comment about USB flash drives, portable hard drives, and cloud storage? Those are all alternatives to memory cards. It's not the end of the world when you use a phone that doesn't have a card slot.
"If you do not like memory card slot, go and vomit at apple and honor pages. Not here. Keep away from here."
I never said I hated memory card slots, I just wanted to tell you that not everyone needs them, tell you my personal bad experience with putting a microSD card on my old phone's memory card slot, and provide alternatives in the absence of a card slot. You kept on missing my point and twisting my words, that itself is a big problem on your part, and now you're trying to kick me out? How very rude of you.
