Anonymous, 10 Mar 2025This chip's GPU is much faster than the E1380's."Much faster"
By about 10-15% only. That is not a huge difference. It is something indeed, but not something that can be labelled as "much faster". And the CPU-wise performance is nearly identical to the Exynos 1380. It swings here and there by like 5% or so, but in daily usage and even in heavy usage, nobody will notice that difference.

The upgrade is in the modems used within snapdragon. Modems made by Qualcomm typically run better than Modems made by Samsung. (Exynos)
This should result in much btfer signal reception. (Especially in rural areas! and will reduce heat & power-efficiency.
They chose this specific chip because it’s identical in performance to Exynos 1380 such that if you upgrade from A35 to A55, you won’t be losing anything . (Side-grade)

Shid, 08 Mar 2025Definitely prefer snapdragon. While it is true that Snapdragon is generally superior to Exynos, I've a feeling that Samsung intentionally paired it with slow storage and ram, both with low bandwidth on this phone, so that the SD6 gen 3's performance in gaming wouldn't look too good next to the E1380, and also so that it performance wouldn't get too close to that of the E1580.

Silver.77, 08 Mar 2025is it that noticeable? Only noticeable with quick & short vibrations (Like typing on a keyboard)
It’s like the difference between PS4 controller & PS5 controller. Hpatic feedback is just more “tight”, more subtle & creates less rattling sound when placed flat on a table.

The Sammy phone it's not a good investment value vs iPhone example, if you want to sell a Samsung phone the price practically it's approximately -50% lose from value to buy!

Silver.77, 08 Mar 2025How does this phone compare with moto g75 giving they have ... moreThe Motorola G75 is a solid device. It even runs cool according to three separate reviewers, which is surprising, as the Moto G series tend to run warm in general. So the A36 must run even cooler.
The main advantages with the A36 other than that over the Moto G75 are a much higher repairability score and just better software updates on Samsung's part. Otherwise, the G75 is probably better value for money. You even get a memory card slot and faster internal storage operation.
Compare the two yourself and see which one suits you best. Though, honestly, the A36 at release prices is not that great value for money. It is a good device, no doubt. But not good value at current prices.

r.why.me, 06 Mar 2025A couple of days ago, I managed to get some time with a Gal... moreThis is quite insightful, thanks. Do you think it would be wise for me to take the plunge and spend a little bit more to get the A56 over the A36, since it has UFS 3.1 and therefore would be a little more "future-proof" with regard to storage/memory controller speed? I currently have two phones with UFS 2.1 storage but they have drastically different read/write speeds because of the difference in memory controllers/implementations of each one. However, there is a phone in the family that has eMMC 5.1 and that seems obnoxiously slow in comparison to either of my UFS 2.1 phones. I'm just wondering if UFS 3.1 is really going to be 3X faster and more power efficient than 2.1 (like the technical documentation claims). I know for a fact that the quality of the memory controller and the manufacturer's implementation might impact the real world speeds. Hence, I'm still on the fence about which storage type to choose :/
