Love that it... moreWell according to latest Samsung news, A52s final OS version is 14, and will still get another 1 year of quarterly patches. But we'll never know IF samsung decide to update again its OS policy - they've done it twice since end of 2021 and last year.

        For those wondering about the new upgrade to One UI 6 and Android 14 and if the upgrade if worth. It is a no brainer. It is totally worth.

        New Android version works great, it One UI 6 is a better UI all around than the previous versions. It even fits more icons on your screen. Battery consumption is not affected at all. Android 14 may even drain less battery than previous version in this Samsung model.

        I am very satisfied with this upgrade and with Samsung A52S 5G. Best phone I've ever had and not the most expensive one I've ever paid for.

          To everyone arguing over A52s vs A54,

          Indeed A54 has a better GPU, and more or less a same CPU. Is that worthy enough to be considered an upgrade ? Nope.

          Other than that, A54 also fares an additional 500mAh battery, a slightly improved camera tuning (Some argue that A52s camera was nerfed intentionally through updates, but let's keep controversies aside), newer Bluetooth standard but codec supported remains the same, a mere 200 nits increase in Auto brightness (only ~80 nits increase in manual), Glass back with Gorilla glass 5.
          Aside from those A54 shares the same UFS2.2 and LPDDR4x from A52s and also removed the 3.5mm jack.

          Now, can we consider those as upgrades ?
          Yes.... For A53.
          Not acceptable for a54 which is 2 generations ahead. After 2 years you're more or less getting the same device with extended software support and that's all I could see. If both were released around the same time period, It would just be considered as 2 different variants of the same phone, we can't even consider that one being better than the other.

          My Verdict:
          Is A54 a good device ?
          Absolutely.
          Is A54 an upgrade to A52s ?
          Only on paper, otherwise nope.
          Should you get A54 ?
          Absolutely, you'll love it.
          Should you get A54 if you already own a A52s ?
          Not if you're looking for an upgrade, get A54 only if your A52s stopped working.

            This has an official LineageOS btw. Along with other unofficial builds.
            Samsung can update this but it would mean lost sales lol.

Love that it... morenot confirmed yet officially but might not get the updates cuz what Samsung promised was 3 os updates and 4 years of security patches(which likely ends in this year)for what I heard, eventhough I personally thinks a52s deserve getting android 15 and probably able to handle the updates too...

Since then it is my primary phone due to what 5G offers and having dual-SIM, able to gauge which network is faster and more stable. Good thing I got the 256GB version

                                    You could still be using it on year 5 but then you need repairs or battery and you can't buy them separately. Unless you buy another A52S.
                                    And newer $200 or cheaper and better phones will be out by that time and you will give in and update too.

It's actually a race to the bottom now with lots of old S series still on sale. And that's just Samsung.

                                        P.s. I might just buy a54(around 300 dollar in my place) or newer A 35/55 (alth both of them gonna be expensive on earlier launch) then wait for price of s24 price dropped..(which is promised to get 7 years software support, gonna take few years to drop the prices significantly tho)

                                        P.s. My A52s is still rocks after usage of +1year except battery, gonna replace battery and use as secondary phone too..
