Tab S9, 19 Oct 2024So many others? Are you sure? Never heard it before There are definitely more victims as i found others looking for a solution on forums and at reviews from main flex cable sellers. Some even changed the whole usb-c print part to no advance. For now am thinking it's the fpc connector which locks the flex but i will open the phone again to make sure and try to fix it.

My unit won't charge anymore like many others with this model, temperature problem it said. changed the main flex cable and the issue disappeared for 3 months however it came back after. In total it was send 3 times to Samsung repair center just after warranty. Never Samsung again.

s35ym., 09 Oct 2024They will do that stupid thing for most repairs. Tell them ... moreUnfortunately, Samsung's own warranty and repairs policy that forces the repair people to upgrade the software. You may refer to it in Samsung's own website.
The worst part is that they take zero responsibility for any issues after a software update at a service centre, unless you plan to spend some extra cash for an authorized system downgrade.

Bug in android 14 (in all phones) :
No option to disable the recycle bin in the my files and the gallery apps.

This phone is still great in October 2024. Its a pity that it won't get android 15 because it,s still performing very very well. No slowness, no hiccups, good cameras, no problems with the battery or with anything else (besides the back panel in hot countries)

They will f... moreMine also re-glued back panel but from a 3rd party and even though they warned me the back panel will again come off, it still haven't after 2 months of use. Doing software update without customer consent is a blatant consumer right violation and you have every right to get it sorted.

They will factory reset and update your Android OS to the latest version. This may lead to reduced battery life. The best battery life is to be had on the original OS that came with the phone.

Sparrow, 02 Oct 2024So after 1.5 years of postponing the detached back panel re... moreIt is a very simple fix, you can do it yourself. You will not mess up anything. Just remove and clean the excess old glue before applying a new one so it will fit nicely.
You can purchase a B-7000 phone glue for a very cheap price online. I did this on both mine and my uncles A52s.
Heres a simple instruction:
1. Remove back panel, then clean the sides of the phone and the plastic panel that has the old glue in it.
2. Apply phone glue on the plastic back panel and on the sides of the phone.
3. Put a scotch tape on all sides of the phone to hold the back panel and let it sit and dry for a day (or maybe a couple of hours will do) then remove the tape.
And its done. Feels like fresh from the box! Hope this helps
