So after 1.5 years of postponing the detached back panel repair (as I always have case on) on my 2.5yo A52s, I'm planning to get it repaired at Samsung service center as I need to handover the phone permanently to dad (switched to S23).


A few questions for those who've already got the replacement done:

- Is the glue on the new back panel going to be as crappy as the current one since both come from the same Samsung inventory?? (Then replacement makes no sense)

- Has anyone faced back panel detachment issue even after replacing one that came factory fitted?

- Are there chances of them messing up something else in phone while fixing this?? Probably battery or speakers? (My current phone condition is pristine and am getting 8+hr of SOT with 5G, touchwood)

- If the back panel is being replaced, do I've the option to go with any color I want?? (subject to availability at service center)

- I enquired them and they said the IP67 rating will be retained after they provide the bill. Except being waterproof, is there any other advantage really of getting the panel replaced? as phone will always have the case ON

(maybe I'm overthinking)

    I have enabled back. It is fine.

        Just ignore those who are addicted to updating and upgrading the apps and OS.

            Back to my beloved A52s after 2 months with iphone 15 pro max. ios is awful. Keyboard is auful. So many functions is awful. Even the weather is wrong. Feeling locked and depressed, finally sold the iphone. Overall a really bad experience. Galaxies are 15 years ahead in terms of software.

                        General comment about android :
                        Google has blocked the ability to change the notification tone for SMS (messages) app suddenly. This affected all phones with android 14.

                        My other Samsung phones with android 12 and 13 do not have the above issue.

                          260 MB approx update has been released in India (India made handsets).

                                  I had an horrible experience with this phone. Just after unboxing the phone I found that the back part of the phone was separating from the phone. Then I had to go to Samsung Care to fix it.

My back panel also popped out. But the phone overall is a great phone. You can buy a cellphone glue online and do it yourself. Or take it to a cellphone repair shop and they usually charge 100-150 pesos.

                                      Samsung A52s 5G is a very good model. Do not believe the spammers.

I re-glued it from a local phone shop and everything going normal as of now. I will continue to use it for a long time as there isn't a money worth alternative to A52s even in 2024.
