Just updated to android 14 around 3 days ago:
For better performance after update and hard reset is not an option better to do the following;
Clear cache partition - reset system settings- reset app preferences - reset Google play services and Google play "clear both cache and data"
Performance is smooth like android 13 or better.
The default font for UI 6 didn't work for me well and i had to choose "robot: font from the list " almost like the one for android 13"
Battery optimizations and life will need 1 week to judge better but as for now almost same as android 13.

Its "64 megapixels" don't look like 64 megapixels at all, but rather upscaled from a lower resolution. See the difference in the 100% views of this phone with Xiamoi's 64 megapixels.

Check following settings in Connections. Also switch them little to see they're set correctly. Airplane mode - off, Mobile networks > Network operators -try both auto find and manually pick your network, More settings > keep system config up to date - on. Update all your apps (remove them from sleep list in Battery first), use wifi if it's necessary. Factory reset can be tried too.

Anonymous, 25 Dec 2023Hi guys, I am still on Android 12, one UI 4.1 version, and ... moreImho for your kind of user, it's probably better to keep Android 12. You won't risk any potential performance-drop disappointment while except security level, changes probably aren't worth it, especially for someone who didn't need them so far. However it's up to you/particular user to know own priorities best and decide.

teewhy, 27 Dec 2023Can someone advise on how to get 5g to work on this device,... moreHave you tried turning on the 5G?
Goto Settings > Connections > Mobile Networks > Network Mode, and toggle it to 5G/LTE/3G/2G (auto-connect).
If so, then check if your SIM-provier has 5G, and also check the 5G coverage in your area.

Removed the ability to share files directly via WiFi direct, we cannot disable the RAM plus feature but can set to minimum 2 GB. But 5G will not work. You have to upgrade to a non reversible patch of android 13 to make 5G work in your phone.
Android 13 :
Removed the ability to customize the time of auto restart and auto optimisation. We can disable the RAM plus.
Android 14 :
Removed the ability to customize the time of auto optimize, we cannot disable the recycle bin under the gallery and my files apps, added the option to customize the time for auto restart, the active services (in the notification drop down menu) are appearing in grey instead of black / blue in the android 12. This is disgusting.
In short : android 12 is much better.

One UI 5 was better in some ways than One UI 6. Like, in the quick settings, before you could tap on any of their texts to show more options without opening the settings. Now you can do that for a very few of them and have to tap and hold them to access more options. You can't move the Wi-Fi and Bluetooth buttons anywhere else. Both light and dark mode for quick settings look literally the same. Pixel Shifting for status bar has been removed and now it's more risky to get screen burn in (maybe they'll fix it?). Anyways, I liked a few things like the new Camera UI, a little bit of improved battery life, new emoji icons etc...

Updated my Galaxy A52s to OneUI6/Android 14, sized 2.4 GB; Security level: December; country: Pakistan; dated December 26, 2023.
Here's my impressions: No drop in general performance, and animations seem to be more fluid than Android 13; battery life is more or less the same; UI aesthetics are welcoming, including Camera UI, Weather app, Music widget, File Manager, Recorder, and Gallery Editor (including the new Studio extension); I also like the new emojis, they're bigger and better; the new QuickSettings panel looks better but it is bright in dark-mode which is quite off-putting; small bugs are noticed here and there but I'm sure these will be ironed out in the successive updates.
So far so good, go for the Android 14.

Rimon1957, 21 Dec 2023I was having much reduced battery performance before the On... moreThat back plastic may come off for the following reasons:
-Puffed-up battery (end-of-life for battery). This is signaled by longer charged times and lesser running times.
-Damage to the phone; either by falling down or hit on the side. This maybe fixed by a slight push, or by get it to repair shop (depending on the severity).
-Bad unit from factory; maybe replaced under warranty (if eligible).
