Basically, a device that doesn't not worth buying in 2024. Previously, Samsung was the go-to because it offered better cameras and software. But now, they only claim to have better materials. The camera performance is subpar because the new AMD cooperation GPU isn't well-optimized with Samsung's algorithms of photo processing, which were designed for their older Exynos chips, so the overall camera experience isn't worth a $400. It results in poor photo processing, and there's no info on whether this issue can be fixed. If you're looking for a mid-range Samsung phone, the A35 is a better choice—it has better cameras, almost identical specs, similar performance, and is more reliable. As for the A55, it's not worth the price, especially since Chinese brands now offer better cameras experience and
their software is became stable thesedays. Plus, we've seen that plastic can last 4 or 5 years, which is enough for a mid-range device, so there's absolutely no reason to buy this phone for its materials.
Another downside is that, for some reason, the front screen scratches easily even with Gorilla Glass Victus+ which is something weird. The brightness is only 1000 nits compared to competitors who have reached 1800 nits, and the proximity sensor is virtual. Also, The size of the device feels like a brick in your hand.
On top of all this, it comes with UFS 2.2 (check GSMArena review), which is outdated in 2024 and is found in phones that cost $150 to $200. In comparison, competitors come with UFS 3.1 or even 4.0 !
By the way, the GPU is not optimized which affects the gaming experience—the device overheats and in-game frame drops and glitch's.
Not to mention that Samsung is still stuck in the 85.8% screen-to-body ratio in 2024, which results in a big bezels that makes your phone look old. Where Other brands have reached to a 90% screen-to-body ratio that makes you feel holding a flagship phone.
Camera, Software, was the go-to for samsung, but as you can see now, there’s nothing that tips the scales in favor of this phone.
So don't try to convince anyone to buy this outdated phone!

, you need to dial *#*#4636#*#* on your phone dialer and another settings will show up. Then, chose "NR only"
Just a side note though, if your network is fully 5G (which means your network is capable of sending text, calls and data at once then this is recommended. Otherwise, if your network needs 4G to send text or calls like VoLTE, then change the settings to "NR/LTE"

[deleted post]I have done factory reset, networks settings reset, tried different sim cards. As I mentioned before, the same sim card at the same places with old A52s, everything is fine with reception then. I contacted Samsung support chat, so last chance is to send the phone to service. I am afraid that they will reject as a defect, like last year my friend had the same issue with A54. So, Samsung service reported that everything is fine even it wasn't. After few times sending to them, my friend bought other phones, Iphone and Xiaomi, so with these phones everything was OK with the same sim card.

Last year, my friend encountered a similar issue with his new A54 purchased from A1. He spent five months sending the phone to the service center multiple times, only to have it returned with the same problem. After involving inspections, A1 issued a refund, and he chose to purchase from a different brand, Xiaomi, resolving the issue.
I have reached out to the store where I made my purchase, but they informed me that other users are experiencing the same issue and that the service center has not resolved their problems. I plan to send my phone for service anyway, but given the negative experiences, I'm concerned that this will be a lengthy process.

I've mentioned that in identical locations, with the same operator, the A55 is the only device that drops from 5G to H or even Edge, bypassing 4G completely. While other phones maintain a 5G connection, the A55 reverts to 3G or 2G. This problem has been reported by numerous users across various forums. It may not affect every Samsung A55, but mine is certainly not the only one experiencing this issue. I captured videos and photos of two phones separately to monitor their reception. Surprisingly, only the A55 dropped from 5G to H+. This issue seems to be a recurring problem with the A55 model, as noted in various user discussions.

In instances where the 5G reception is weak, for example, only one bar on the reception scale, my phone switches to H+ or even Edge. On my other phone Samsung A52s, with the same sim card and the same operator, reception and mobile data is still on 5G or 4G. I attempted to resolve the issue in safe mode, yet the problem continues to occur.

Has anyone else found a solution for the poor reception and mobile data transfer with the Samsung A55 in areas where other phones on the same operator do not have this issue? The 5G drops to H+ and Edge even though the signal is not weak on other phones.

Why is my 5G network turning 4G automatically?
Your 5G network may be switching to 4G automatically due to various reasons. One common cause is the availability and strength of the 5G signal. If your device detects a weak or unstable 5G signal, it may automatically switch to the more stable 4G network to ensure a consistent and reliable connection.
Network congestion could also be a possible cause. During peak usage times or in crowded areas, the 5G network may experience high demand, leading your device to switch to the 4G network for a smoother experience. This is a common strategy used by mobile devices to maintain a steady connection when the faster 5G network is under strain.
