The A71 massacres the S6 every single time not only in the camera department, but in other areas and features as well (FM radio, dedicated micro sd expansion - 2 sim slots + 1 micro sd slot = 3 slots in all), processor power and efficiency, RAM, battery capacity, screen quality and screen size, etc. In short, the S6 will really look like a 5 year old phone next to the A71.
And NO, I don't base my comments on specs alone or someone else's non-laboratory controlled tests like in many YouTube videos. I compare photos in CONTROLLED lab tests like in gsmarena's photo compare tool here as well as analyze photos in review sites on my 32" Samsung 4K UHD monitor.

Whether you like it or not, whether you believe gsmarena's lab tests or not, the A71's stock camera app and the A71's multiple cameras are miles away from the S6's single camera in terms of features and capabilities - HDR, portrait /background blurring, night mode, ultra wide angle and macro capability, super slow motion capability, etc. And I'm not talking about 3rd party camera apps yet (Open camera, ported Gcam 7.0 app with night sight).
So there, just replace your A71 with another unit. You probably have a defective A71. If not, if you truly, honestly think your S6 is better in the camera department, just sell your A71 already and buy another S6. Stop convincing A71 owners here who are happy with their A71's camera performance that they should not be happy with the A71 camera output just because you yourself are not.

If it is still under warranty and if you can't reduce or eliminate it through color adjustments I stated in my previous posts, have it replaced with a new unit. No point keeping it with you when you can't get over the discoloration.

The A71 is a significantly improved version of the A70 so if the price difference between the A71 and A70 is 15% or less in your area, the A71 would be the best choice. You can also wait a few more months when the A71 price comes down.

You are right I don't need to convince you and I don't want to that a 5 years old S6 has better camera quality because I had both models in my hand and compared identical photos and I also know that you did not compared or don't even have A71 model because you are talking in specifications and numbers that are obviously useless when you see a picture taken with A71 and S6 and this can be check anytime.

Hello everyone. I am thinking about getting a new phone. Not a super hardcore phone user, will mostly need Youtube, Facebook, Netflix... The heaviest game I'd play would potentially be Pokemon Go.
Would A71 or A70 be better? I am looking for a phone that will last well into 4 or 5 years.

Believe what you want to believe in but it will not change the fact your 5-year old 1/2.5" 16 megapixel camera sensor with f/1.9 lens in your S6 is no match to the A71's less than 12 month old 64 megapixel 1/1.72" sensor with f/1.8 lens. The only advantage of your S6 is the OIS. So there enjoy your S6 and continue believing it takes the best photos while we A71 owners are enjoying excellent photos and videos both with the stock camera app (excellent in daytime) and the ported GCam with Night Sight which your outdated S6 with limited RAM and processing power can't quite handle and can only dream of.

If not then it'... moreNo, there's no 4K 60fps in the A71. 4K 60fps is highly recommended for use in bright sunny outdoors where you will reap the most benefit. If your usual video shooting covers mostly indoor social occasions however (especially in low or dim lighting), 4K 30fps will provide a much better video quality and coverage due to lower noise levels/lower ISO used. So unless it's mostly bright sunny outdoor videos for you, the A71's 4K 30fps limitation shouldn't be as serious to you as is the lack of a micro sd card slot, which I consider a very serious phone handicap (if you record lots of 4K videos and download lots of movies for offline viewing).
Personally, I would never buy a phone without a micro SD slot. It's like buying a house and lot you can't expand or renovate to allow for additional rooms/expansion or additional parking spaces for your growing family.

It's obviously that a71 camera (photo and video) is inferior to S6 camera but for some reason you can't say that just find excuses. Got my answer no need to post or ask anything.

There's no 60fps option in any video mode but there's 960fps super slow motion, hyperlapse, etc. Hardware wise, both the processor hardware and camera hardware, the A71 is superior to the to the 5 year old Galaxy S6. Sure the processing power is about the same, but the snapdragon is vastly more power efficient and the A71 has got vastly more RAM resulting in vastly better performance (just take a look at benchmark scores).
Software wise, it's the same story. One UI is vastly improved over memory hog TouchWiz UI, and I'll take Android 10 over Android Nougat or Oreo anytime.
If you are not satisfied with the A71's native camera app, you can download better camera apps from the Playstore like Open camera or better yet, sideload GCam 7.0 ported app to the A71 and see night and day quality difference over the S6. Really, there's no comparison.

Your A71 battery should last you at least a day even with heavy mobile data/Facebook use. Go to settings - device care. Tap battery then battery usage. Check apps or processes which are consuming unusually high battery percentage despite not being used or barely used at all. Uninstall apps causing battery drain. If battery drain continues, try removibg micro sd card (it could be poor quality or fake). If battery drain still persists, factory reset phone, apply latest phone software updates and repeat troubleshooting process above (uninstalling apps that have high drain, removing micro sd card, etc.) If still the same (fast battery draining), have your A71 replaced. It's likely defective.

Amoled uniformity is a very common issue in amoled displays. Some oled/amoled/p-oled displays are more uniform than others. Uniformity problems are rare in IPS LCD displays but abundant in oled based displays.
In my tab s5e there's a very visible green - pink shift on the amoled display upon tilting at the top and bottom portion. Some amoled displays have it more than others, some less. Only very few are near perfect as most have it to varying degrees.
The uniformity doesn't affect function but it can be an eyesore. If you can't get over it, try tweaking the color settings. That's what I did with my tab S5e with poor amoled uniformity. If still not satisfied, you can exchange for another A71 unit while your phone is still on warranty.
Try with these display settings and adjust as needed to reduce color shifts : Settings - display - screen mode: vivid; white balance 1/4 away from cool. Advanced settings: red level: 0/11, green level: 1/11, blue level: 9//11. Your settings may vary. Just try experimenting and adjust as necessary to minimize the non-uniformity/discoloration on your phone.

Can this phone record 4K videos in 60 fps?? If not then it's not worth upgrading from my old One plus 6. I am moving from One plus to A71 only coz of the good camera in A71.
