My phone doesnt notify me when theres a new whatsapp message I have followed all the instructions but im not winning only when I open whatsap thats when I can see that I have new messages please assist I think theres a factory fault here

Hi, my Samsung Galaxy J1 2016 takes about 3hrs to fully charge from a 10% battery. Is that normal? I use Asus Zenpower 1050 mAh along with its cable.

When i first got it , was so happy.
Then things started to change.
I hate it.
The Phone started to lag, and some feature are just useless.
For example, while in lock screen, the music button is there, but i can't do anything with it as it wont respond.
Then i started to do some workaround. Rooted the phone.
Music player - Only google Music. Deleted and install Music apps from Sony
Gallery - Deleted. Install Album App from Sony.
Link2SD - Google if you don't Know.
Deleted bloatwares like Google Stand , Google bla bla bla. S Planner - Useless.
(If any of you are using those stocks apps on the phone and can live with it, choice is yours.)
And now, it's a pretty decent phone. at least i thought it is.
Note: still can't get the button on the lock screen to work though. i wonder why....

Piece of shit phone! Hangs, slows for no reason, can't even multitask: i.e. Spotify/FB at the same time. Even now writing this the key pad locks up! DO NOT BUY!!!! CHEAP ISN'T ALWAYS CHEERFUL! if it had 1GB ram happy day but with only 512mb its useless! Go for the J2 Instead.

I Love this phone but sometimes it just slow down it's pace and respond later to my clicks.
But the most irritating thing is that when I play my music in the background and maybe log on Facebook,whatapp or other apps the music automatically stops.
It's really annoying me so much that I sometimes feel like throwing it away or cry.

Anonymous, 12 Jun 2016my samsung j1 is overheating then i cant open the applicati... moreYour phone tell you to take a rest. Switch off and remove battery.
Then put back the battery and cover. Give some time before switch on.
Battery overheat because one of the apps is eating the battery.
Go to Setting -> Battery -> Display battery percentage: mark.
The battery percentage will show on the notification bar.
Whenever you open and use the apps, regular glance at the battery percentage.
If app is taking in a lot of battery percentage, then it will be the problematic.
Also, after using any apps, below the phone, the left button is to show the recent tray.
Just above the center button, just click on the horizontal bar+x sign; this will remove those apps still running in the background to stop.

Select My apps & games.
There are INSTALLED and ALL
Select ALL and this is where all your apps are available, including those you uninstalled and those in other Android phones.
Most apps that you had installed and, for uninstall apps it will go to the ALL.

this phone is not good phon. very much slow...heat problem.... keyboard hiding automatically.... normal games can't handle with this....so be aware....

I thought the Samsung company always introduces new phones with their own special effects.The J1s are not secured from Viruses...in fact they get viruses unnecessarily fast.The galaxy J1 is the worst Samsung product that I've ever used.😡

This phone just switches off anytime, when you press the camera it switches off and it's not even a moth old. Waste of money and time.

Want to know if the person you send to have read or not.
In Message -> click on the 3 dots -> Setting -> Text messages -> Delivery reports - mark.
When the receiver read your message, you will receive that sms is read.
