Nougat runs smooth on my phone, battery life is also good. I'm not a gamer, but I use social applications like Facebook, WhatsApp, Instagram, Youtube,etc. most of the time. No issues in battery charging, it gets fully charged in 2.5 hours and lasts easily for a day with still 25-35% battery left at the end of the day. I had once factory resetted the phone after updating to nougat and then disabled some apps which I don't use. All is good and super smooth in nougat.

But I've never do... moreWell i don't mate.. i was watching tutorials on You Tube.. to be honest its 50/50 i was so nervous when i was downgraded cuz all side effects.. if you want official rom go to SAMSMOBILE.. there are many stock firmwares.. flashtool Odin.. and yes download Samsung USB drive... without that you cant flash.. at least i cant.. and word of warning.. if you succed flashing.. dont be afraid of PIN Code.. it showed me after downgrading.. just restart.. and go to boitloader to do hard reset.. and restart phone.. it should be good.. everything you do.. you do on own responsebility.. and yes to mention it wont void your warrany.. whoah i wrote roman xD cheers all

many people have battery problem but for me its working fine. well when playing games its drain faster than MM. other than that its okay. docent have charging problem yet. work smoothly. no lag. and my MM was drain overnight but N docent. only problem for me is that its drain while playing games. ( im a heavy game user).
Tho for me N is good.

You might try factory resetting your phone, see if it helps. But yeah, battery does drain faster compared to Marshmallow. And takes longer to charge too, at least mine does

You can't really compare battery by screen on time only, since it depends on how are you using your device. Playing games for example, will obviously discharge your battery faster than just browsing the web let's say. So yeah, for me battery life is the same as it was on Marshmallow. I charge it every second night and I get around 7-8 hours of screen on time. I mostly use my device for watching Youtube, sending messages via Whatsapp or Messanger for example, browsing the web, and of course some calls. So yeah, Nougat update is just great in my opinion. You get tons of new features, UI is more modern looking, and it runs the same as when it was on Marshmallow.

Yesterday midnight I upgraded to Nougat. fully charged, disconnect charger at 6:30 in the morning today.
Now battery level 72%, screen on time 3 hours, wifi on
100% -> 72% in 15 hours
in MM, it took little more than 24 hours to drop 100% to 72%
