Anonymous, 06 Sep 2017is the OS upgragable to Nougat and then Oreo?????Yes. Already J7 (2016) has started getting Nouget in India and else. So, J7 Prime should also get Nouget in this month or next. As for Oreo it will be after few months, probably late 2018. Regards.

And seriously i am thinking to get a new device in next few weeks. This time it will be not a Galaxy device, but a different one within 15K INR. I have shortlisted some devices and still doing a research.

Yesterday I saw a new device called Mi A1, which looks great. I mean it has stock android as Nouget and before the year ends it will get Oreo. And next year it will get Android P for sure. Hardware wise it has Snapdragon 625, 4GB RAM/64GB ROM with dual camera set up. Overall it looks value for money at 15K or under 250$

AnonD-542833, 04 Sep 2017Either go for Lenevo K8 Note or Mi Note 4. They will best u... moreI advice K8 Note because it is a complete package with stock android. So you will get updates and newer OS without any problem.

As for Mi Note 4 device, it get a strong Snapdargon processor, 4GB RAM and 64 GB RAM under 15K; which makes it a very lucrative offer. As for heating and camera issue. I believe heating issue depends on the user. I myself have a tried a demo of Note 4 on a near by Big Bazar shop and surprised to see the metal build and smoothness. I already got 2 Galaxy devices in use and a 3 years old tab for reading. Now I am looking for budget device simply for multimedia use and light gaming like NFS No Limit, COC etc. So I like the Note 4.

AnonD-697549, 05 Sep 2017is lenevo p2 not good kindly suggestPersonally I use a Lenovo tab for last 3 years and never faced any issue. As for Lenovo phones I have stayed away for 3 reasons e.g. first very high SAR value, second very heavy UI customization and third there are many news of blast of devices by confirmed buyers.

Anyway I check the specs of P2 and certainly it looks good on papers. But again these are some good alternative devices in the price range. Before you buy, you should make sure that you get the best value for your money.

Personally I use Samsung Galaxy devices since 2013 and never faced any issue. Even my first device S7392 is still works with a new second original battery. So as Samsung Galaxy user I can only say about them. Regards.

AnonD-697366, 04 Sep 2017I have been using J7 prime since January, I had a 16G card ... moreFirst of all please do not use old memory cards in newer models, because newer devices has different OS and they have different file system than older one.

As new devices has mostly octacore or quad core processors with at least 2 GB RAM, one should only use newer class 10 Memory card. As you have mentioned that your card is 4 years old and used in 2 devices earlier, I am sure it is either class 4 or 6. I wonder how you havr not noticed the lag on your device.

Anyway I was a "sandisk" fan and used few of thier memory cards. But now I use only "Samsung Evo+" class 10; 32 GB memory cards on both of my J7 Prime and On7 Pro devices. And I have never faced any lag or issue.

Last but not least always insert the blank new card on your device than format it with the device only. It will create proper file system on the disk and than you must copy or move your data from online back up or laptop/desktop/OTG drive to the device. Never format the card in a card reader using laptop or desktop or any other device; and than use it on your device. This way it will be damaged and your device will not work properly.

I advised you to buy Samsung Evo+ class 10 memory cards to you. The size should be at least 32 GB or more. But if you are on a very tight budget than go for 16 GB. Regards.
