    Don't buy, after a year mother board issue starts.

      The phone was working normal only for 2 months. I am not a heavy user. I use only whatsapp, youtube and phone. Motherboard is gone. Samsung service person telling 8000 for replacing new motherboard and there is no warranty for that. Wherever I give for service in other centres, they are telling M series if full of failures and changing the motherboard will not be usefull.

        Never buy Samsung phone. The same issue for my phone. I bought this Samsung m31s 2019 December. Now, I can't use it. Reputed companys how they can do like this.

            Those with AUTOMATIC RESTART / HANGING AT BOOT SCREEN, pls try this guys. Luckily, but DEFINITELY worked for me after trying out several "solutions." Might save you some money by not opting for motherboard replacement.

            Here's what I did: Had a FACTORY RESET done at a Customer Care Center. This will get it back to the state you had got your phone in. Costs 236 bucks. Doing factory reset by yourself doesn't work. After that, install the latest update by yourself (I believe this MAJOR update was released on May 22, 2022).

            That should do it. Has worked for me (after some initial hiccups). No more AUTOMATIC RESTARTS / HANGING AT BOOT SCREEN for me now thankfully.

Mobile getting ... moreafter 10 days struggling now ceo-desk telling that this restarting is happening due to water inserting in to board ( color changing near charging area). i think this color changing in common for all.

                i think myself was totally fooled by samsung because of purchasing this model. be alert.

                  Autoreboot issue in endless loop. Samsung customer care is asking for 5500 rs to replace motherboard. Even maintaining in good condition such issue is raised.

                    I am facing similar problem in M31s series. Mobile getting hang and restarting. this was my worst experience for this phone. Requesting the Samsung family to check the issue as customer care people already said that motherboard related issue i.e IS issues and charges applied. kindly do the needful and change the mobile as fault is from your IS end. Same thing is happening to all who purchased 1.5 Years back. I am also facing same issue. Customer care is not caring us. Samsung service/sales head to check this issue.

                      Exactly after 1.2 year, My mobile stopped charging, when i checked with customer service center they told you need to replace charging port which costed me around 1800 /- rupees, even though I maintained my mobile in good condition,
                      after another 2-3 months now, my phone has started to auto reboot with an endless loop, which makes it unusable, When i checked with customer support first they said may be software issue and reinstalled the same which costed me 236 /- rupees, after a week again the same issue occurred now, when i again checked with customer care they said Motherboard has given up and we need to replace, which cost 7500/- rupees... are you serious i could have bought a new phone instead of repairing the same, i am sure this is caused by an software update which was released by samsung, but we need to pay for it.

                      I am not sure if this complaint is going to help, But at least it will be a lesson who blindly trust a reputed company whose mobile wont last for 2 years.

                      Being a loyal Customer and believe in samsung, I will check how samsung responds to this issue and their support, If i do not get any fruitful reply, Thanks samsung, this will be the last product i will be using from samsung not just me but make sure all my family do not buy anything from samsung,

                      Remember you are not loosing money here, you are on the brink of loosing a loyal customer.

                        Same issue for me also.. that too exactly after software update, suddenly it got stucked and then dead.. that too 18 months over. and now service centre telling to replace mother board.

Really a big cheating from samsung.. I ll never buy samsung and never recommend to anyone.

                            Don't ever Buy Samsung Mobile.
                            I have Samsung M31s, which worked fine for year, and then started frequent hanging and freezing at Samsung Logo, Now it's complete Dead. Service Centre suggested to change mother board costing 50% of mobile price. It's very common issue among M series and clearly manufacturing defect. Samsung still don't accept it.

                                  Bought my M31s in Jan 2021. Worked fine till November 2021 when an update at that time messed it all up. WISH I’D NEVER GONE FOR THE UPDATE. Automatic rebooting with many a times getting stuck at the logo screen started. Super frustrating! Sometimes the phone used to heat up in this process. I had to connect the phone to power supply (charging mode) and press the down volume rocker button and lock button at the same time to switch it off. Tried many ‘solutions’; none worked. The problem persisted for many months, and at one point, didn’t boot at all. Had to factory reset. Things worked okay for a few weeks when another update (which had mainly to do with camera stability) somewhere in the month of March/April 2022 resolved the issue and there were almost no issues with the phone working fine until the major update of May 2022. The same issues began again. Nasty experience. This time went to the service center where they did a factory reset (to the state as it was when I’d bought it). Didn’t work. Issues persisted. They suggested motherboard replacement, was not an option I would go for. As it was messed up anyway, did the major system update again (same, of May 2022), but this time problem solved, say, 99%. It still reboots sometimes (only with certain activities) but doesn’t hang at the boot log screen now (restarts smoothly). Not sure if I am going to apply the next update, but will be using this phone till my next buy, which won’t be a Samsung in all probability.

                                  With reset at the service center (for 236 bucks) and the system update of May 22, 2022, my phone is working pretty much fine now (for more than a week!). See if it works for you.

                                    Yes truly said above this technical problems exist in this phone since beginning. I bought it at the time of releasing but after 4 months suddenly amended rebooting problems started.. I contacted with samsung customer care they repaired 4 times but problems continued. They change the mother board but after six months this problems restart. Now guarantee is over they ask for change mother board with high amount without no warranty I have decided to switch over to other company.

                                    JUST LOST SAMSUNG REPUTATION.

                                      Phone was working fine from sept 2020 to June 2022. Suddenly, phone started rebooting and it's stuck on logo screen since then.
                                      factory resetting the phone, flashing firmware didnt help.
                                      Service center said motherboard has to be replaced
                                      Didnt expect this from samsung :(

                                        Samsung M31s, worked well from Aug2020 to May2022. 5th June 2022 abruptly the phone restarts and then does not go beyond the logo. Not rebooting. Motherboard to be changed they say Rs.8810. They are unable to replace the exact part which is defective and have to replace the whole motherboard hence this high cost of service. Which is more difficult?
                                        Spent Rs.21499 on phone which worked 21 months so exactly Rs.1000 per month. Mother board replacement , who knows how long it will work?
                                        Approached customer care. They were very cordial, said understood our problem but Unable to help. Said It is Company Procedure.
                                        IS THIS REALLY WHAT THE SAMSUNG BRAND STANDS FOR? SAD..........
