Many people argue that A52s has similar price but better specs so buying M52 is silly...However there are actually valid points to buy M52.
    1. It has 6.7 inchs (vs 6.5 inch) and 173g (vs 189g)
    2. It has side mounted fingerprint (vs optical)
    3. 5000mah (vs 4500)

They merely address it as an individual case, and see what happens, if the samsung owner will go fight it OR just accept his fate of having to own a defect product made by samsung.

Anonymous, 28 Sep 2023What I meant is that Samsung is arguably the most reputable... moreMy final parte on this subject .....

Using A.I, I have found useful information that SamSung has indeed recently made announcements for this green-line screen defect issue.

" Yes, you’re correct. Samsung has indeed announced a free repair policy for certain devices affected by the green line screen issue1. This policy applies to out-of-warranty Galaxy phones and includes a one-time free-of-charge replacement of the OCTA assembly along with the battery and Rework Kit1. The offer is valid until September 30, 20231. For instance, in the case of the Galaxy M52, if the issue is not caused by the user (like dents, damages, or water contact), Samsung may provide a free replacement2. But if the damage is user-inflicted, they might not offer a free replacement2. It’s always best to check with Samsung’s customer service for the most accurate information. "

Here is my final input in addressing this debacle regarding Samsung.PH based on Google and Bing A.I findings:

" It seems that Samsung Galaxy phones are still being affected by the green line issue, which is a problem where a vertical line of green or purple pixels appears on the screen. This issue has been reported by users of various Galaxy models, including the Galaxy S20, Galaxy S21, Galaxy S22, Galaxy Note 20, and Galaxy Z Flip 4, Galaxy A73, Galaxy M52. Some users claim that the issue started after updating their phones to One UI 4 or One UI 6, while others say it happened randomly without any apparent cause. "

The green line issue is very frustrating for Samsung customers, especially those who have bought expensive flagship and mid-range phones. Many users have complained that Samsung’s customer service is not helpful and does not offer free screen replacement for the affected devices. Some users have even started online petitions to demand Samsung to acknowledge and fix the issue.

According to some sources, the green line issue is caused by a hardware defect in the OLED display panel manufactured by Samsung Display. The defect may be related to the degradation of the organic material that emits light in the OLED screen. The green line may indicate that the pixels in that area are no longer functioning properly and are stuck at a certain color.

Samsung has not officially addressed the green line issue or offered a permanent solution for it. However, some users have reported that they were able to get their screens replaced for free by Samsung after contacting Samsung CEO and involving media channels through social media or online forums.

The green line issue is a serious threat to Samsung’s reputation as a leading smartphone maker and display manufacturer. It may also affect its sales and profits in the highly competitive smartphone market. Samsung needs to communicate clearly with its customers and service centers about the issue and provide a fair and consistent policy for screen replacement. It also needs to improve its quality control and testing procedures to prevent such issues from happening again in the future.

So the point to this matter is SamSung should do the right thing on that they are aware of it and any customer who bought phones during those times should be treated by replacing the defective part. This is not un-reasonable - this is practice by any civilized decent society to ask for what should be right.

I have been using the phone on and off for about a month. I have only positive impressions and no issues to report. I doubt it is the SW as i had to run thru 4 or 5 updates ( 2 major OS updates) in a matter of 1 hour while setting up the phone. The device has performed as designed up until now. I got the latest A13 and the August security patch.

Spent IDR 4100k (about $265 on today's rate) on this phone in january 2022 for my wife then decided to buy another one more for myself. Both work perfectly.
Best thing is, this phone specs still on par with the latest A54 which is priced at $365.

Even I have got green line issue on my m52. I was just chatting with my friend and suddenly dim vertical green line started to appear. Then I immediately restarted my phone and it got solid green line. My Android security patch level is 1 june 2023. I went to service centre and told me to replace the display and it would cost around 7700rs.

SamSung sucks big time now. After extensive and exhaustive efforts and pleads to SamSung PH, and even acknowledging of their awareness of this hardware defect, they will not cover it and stated it will cost me 4600 Php to have this repair with a new screen.

I therefore lodged a public civil complaint against SamSung PH and waiting for this to play out. In the mean time, I will go grab my phone back from the SM-North Annex Service Ctr now.

Anonymous, 11 Sep 2023After warranty completes Green line and Pink line started The "green line" issue on Samsung AMOLED screens is a hardware problem that cannot be fixed by software ¹. It indicates that your display has been damaged, and only replacing the hardware assembly can fix it ¹. The affected phone's display needs to be replaced, and such repair can possibly include the display assembly and the motherboard, depending on the phone model ¹. If you are experiencing this issue, please get in touch with customer support to initiate a repair. Free repair under warranty may or may not be applicable, depending on the circumstances ¹.

If you are experiencing a green line \ tint on your Samsung screen, it is a device defect. AMOLED is a display using self-lighting of each pixel and has a characteristic that allows seeing very dark areas that LCD cannot express. When you lower the screen brightness on a dark screen (such as Dark mode), the screen color looks green (green stains, greenish) or purple ³⁴.
