Samsung phones will no longer be option for me on future buys .... they know about this defect and let it happen so that when the standard warranty no longer applies - they want ALL of us to pay up.

BP, 31 Aug 2023I just got the same issue and don't know who to resolve it.So - this is the low-down. The solid green-line is a hardware problem defect from AMOLED screens. I did tons of research and the only way around it is to replace the entire screen. I took my M52 to Samsung Service Ctr near me last Tues, and today they sent me txt msg that they are still working on it. In regards to being charge on it, I admonish in the strongest term that it was caused by the June 1 patch update that got applied recently. So now I am waiting for them to update me the cost of repair, still being determined by their head-office here in Phils - will update on that outcome

My Galaxy M52 5g phone was working fine. But after 1year Green and a Pink line appeared on the screen. Don't buy this.

Eliza, 17 Aug 2023My M52 was working fine in all aspects while suddenly a gre... moreHi - I just want to add to this reported issue of a solid green line suddenly appeared on the screen from top to bottom while just simply reading a website. I immediately shutdown the phone, then after 5 mins power-on, but the solid-green line is still there. Next, I went to software update and my version is still latest as of June 1 patch. I then dialed SAMSUNG-PH local direct # and the next thing the green-solid line disappear.
Did anyone experience this bizarre but troubling issue >

The phone is still available on Amazon.de and I bought mine in Czechia last week from one of the biggest online resellers. I have used the phone for a week and I cant really report anything unusual so far. My other phone is Oppo Reno6 5G which is my first-choice because of its compact size.

Main reason I bought was as a secondary phone, and it's priced at 14K Php, at that time.along with a free-5G SIM card and half price on a pair of Samsung ear Buds2 SM-R117. Today, I find it as one of my Main PHones, kept it on good handling condition, OS updates up-to-date, and double my storage via mini-SD card. Really have no complaint on this M52-5G. I also do share my honest real-world user experiences here to share to all.

I don't really understand the negative comments about the screen ! On Amazon Germany out of 2000 + comments, there is not a single one that mentions a stripe across the screen!!
I have seen approximately 20 comments on the web regrading this screen problem and none of them are related to an European unit.

Meh. Bought this phone back in early 2022 to ready replace my asus zb631kl (since this samsung got better chip) and in earlier august shortly after more than 1 year, an unfortunate goblin, green line appeared. I didnt really bother to check whats problem with samsung phone before, seeing many user experienced this earlier than mine, man I am frustrated. so before the next 2nd green line appear, I went for the samsung service center, and the price quotation for the repair or replacement of the screen, it is like 1/3 of its price. However, I bought this phone at the price like 2/3 of the price anyway. repair price at service center is too much for me since with that price I can bought a new phone, took sometime to find cheaper original spare part price + replacing screen price from which only 66% than original price quote from samsung service center.

I purchased my galaxy M52 in November 2021. Few green and pink vertical lines appeared on screen and when I visited their service center, they said only way to get rid of it is to replace the screen. The cost of replacement is about 8k. So, I do not recommend anyone to purchase this phone.

My M52 was working fine in all aspects while suddenly a green line appeared on the screen last week for no reason. I got the display replaced free of cost from the service center as there was 10 more days to end the warranty period. I think most of this phone get this issue after 1 year or so, if you are lucky within the warranty period.

Dont buy this, It have some display issues, I am saying from my own experience. I saw that so many had this coloured line issue on their samsung galaxy m52 phone. And the most interesting thing is it happening after 1 year, means when our warranty period is exceeds. A pink line is suddenly appeared on screen just 2 days before after updation. I am contacted so many times to customer care support & visited nearby samsung service center, registered a complaint. But the reply from customer care was really disappointing, one person is arguing without any logical reason. He told me that you done the updation via mobile data, that may interrupted the updation of phone. Such kind of nonsense excuses. its just 14 months, I crossed my warranty period. So they asking 8000 for display replacement. for a 25000 phone spending 8000 for a display wont fair. And they are not ready to accept their fault. For s20 series they are providing free display replacement. And samsung is very famous for their screen quality, now i wont suggest anyone, because the samsung brand wont agree with their fault. I think one plus is much better in such kind of things, recently their phone too had a green color line issue, but they done replacement of display at free of cost for every customers those had that problem. So i feel very bad for the samsung brand, Really really not fair.

Anonymous, 16 Jun 2023m52 vs a34 which to go to the old m52 or the new a34?Though M52-5G has the better CPU (SD-778) over the A34 Mediatek 1080, A34 will have a longer OS updates up to 4 Major upgrades, unlike M52 will receive only 3. M52 last OS update will be Android 14, while A34 will go up to ver.17. Also M-series gets 3-4 months of security patches, while the A-series gets it between 1-2 months. The other selling point of Samsung is the OS updates and security patches that they promise to deliver, and I do like the 1-2 months of patches instead of 3-4.

I'm a bit surprised from all the negative feedback of owner's experience and usages. MY M52-5G has so far maintained its original performance and have not shown any of the symptoms that all have mentioned on screen, battery and lagging performances. Knock on wood for me, for my model SM-M526BR\DS has been as crisp and fine as it was when I purchased it last May, 2022. Current OS is Android 13, One UI 5.1, security patch as of June.1,2023.

Great battery life, great raw cpu and gpu power but it's a M series phone at the end and has a poor lifespan of amoled screen. Mine had issues since beginning like having momentary blackouts and eventually screen was gone. Screen&battery got replaced by warranty but still has occasional blackouts and colorful images on the screen. Will never buy a M series phone again. At least buy A5X.

after a year and two months of use, suddenly there is a pink line on the screen. it seems to have been planned by samsung when the warranty expires.
