Comparing up to 2 previous generations of Note, overall I have mixed feeling for this Note5, but let me elaborate why:
1. I'm ok with the idea of having internal storage of 128GB, means that you have 128GB of space where you install all your apps (not all apps can be installed in SDCard), compared to previous Notes which only have 16GB or 32GB. So, instead of drawback, I consider this as an improvement. I own Note3 and iPhone6+, definitely like the iPhone6+ 128GB internal storage, although it lacks of access thanks to iOS.
2. The 3000mAh Lithium-Polymer (Li-Po) is different than Lithium-Ion (Li-ion), thinner and even though more expensive, it will be the future of battery for anything that is thin, like a smartwatch. Actually Li-Po became more popular earlier than Li-Ion. But we don't need the current Note to be thin, unless if they can make it like a hologram from a watch. The current size of Note3 and Note4 is best using Li-Ion, if Note5 is the same as Note3 and Note4 size, why bother changing the battery? and why 200mAh less than previous battery?
I can't answer this. Obviously the Li-Ion is the winner for this size of phone.
I just don't like the idea of charging my battery with bulky powerbank (or even using a casing with built in powerbank). Too much drawback if you have to use powerbank. I've been using spare batteries for my Note3 and I find it to be the minimum level between practicality and convenient. The iPhone6+ have a great battery management thanks to its iOS, its definitely more superior than Android's, but you just hate it if you forgot to charge the phone at night and woke to find your phone with 20% battery and no time to charge that day, hence in this case, using spare battery is the best practice, that's why I love Note3 and I have like 3 spare batteries. feels like holding a few ammunition magazine ready to use. Maybe if they could create removable Li-Po battery like the size of credit card, and you can store them in your wallet, that would be great.
IF, Note5 irremovable battery can at least match or beat iPhone6+ in endurance and stress test, I might consider Note5.

Don't buy these smartphones with 3000mAh batteries until they use 4000mAh replacable batteries.

As any logical person would know, the glass back is utterly useless against accidental drops. Yes, get the F****** case - again a counter to the sleek look that Samsung is going after - copying a PAST iPhone design.
So, Samsung, can you just stop with all this silliness of fragile hipster designing? Can you now get your contingent REAL Note5 version for the real Galaxy Note users like me? Preferably with the removable battery and memory expansion.

unanimous decision, 18 Aug 2015The no more challenge phone now comes out in the market..th... moreafter a point the mega pixel of your camera doesn't really matter unless you are gonna blow up your pics to be the size of hoardings and they have added the optical stabilisation which is a feature that was only available in DSLR's till now.

Well first let me say that I too like many other do not like the fact the there is no expendable memory slot or the removable battery...but I can see why they have given these things a miss. What samsung has been criticised the most for is their cheap looks and the materials they use for their products just because for better or for worse they get compared to apple a lot. So they decided to give their product the premium look that everyone is demanding for..but it comes with a trade off....you cant keep pulling open the back cover of your metal and glass phone now...can you? making it all one solid piece also give is volume and stablility..so that once you hold that phone in your hand you can feel its premium quality..

2. In a place with no signal it doesn't hurt your back to carry a mini usb stick or external hard disk. You manage to travel far enough from the full signal of city, why not just make yourself suffer while you at it. No need to worry about the ugly dangling tail of OTG adapter on your phone. Fashion or style is nothing in the remote area.
3. Changing the format to nano sim is not a big deal. Note5 is not the first Samsung device to use it. Galaxy Alpha and the Galaxy A series use it too since last year. People change format from mini sim to micro sim back then too. Being the first to use it does not mean Apple is the inventor.

i was a religious follower of note series right from note , note 2 , note 3 and now note 4, all changed within 1 year of use on the launch dates. I was most certainly looking 4 ward for note 5. I am completely disappointed with note 5 majorly on non removable battery (3000) and no SD card slot. First time i will look for other options this year as note 5 doesn't bring anything more except ram may be n faster processor with slippery body. Note 4 is fast enough for me till i try apple S6 this year .... Let down by Samsung :-(

The no more challenge phone now comes out in the market..the note 5. No changes on camera 16mp (that s5 has). While the other smartphones comes with the 20.7mp with water resistant features that youll feel the "challenge". The feature gimmick of the developer is just selling a brand name samsung. People are so pissed off to this kind of game. Features of the s5 and note are just mix to note 5 just to sell it high in the market again. Im already awaken to this reality.

Smartphone should start implementing 'sticker-sim' slot. Increase ram directly to 8gb and not 1gb per year. Start using aluminum graphite battery for ultra fast charging in 1minute and does not degrade rapidly and even flexible. Use uBeam over-the-air charging (OTA) using ultrasound to transmit electricity. Bring back the faux leather and put self-healing technology. Put 2TB expandable storage. Use sapphire glass. Use magnesium metal. Fujitsu Retina scanner. IP69 with MIL-STD 810G. We don't care if the phone is thick.

I had several Samsung phones, my latest is note 4. I feel like Samsung is going to a different direction with its company. By releasing this note5 and S6 this way, they are trying to be an iPhone wanna be.. or clone if i may say so.
1. Non-removable battery. Sometimes phones hang, and we can't restart it. Even pressing the power button won't help. What do u do? Wait for the phone to drain its battery? So sad...
2. No expandable micro sd card.. how many gigs does the cloud give you? 16 gig? 32 gig? I don't think so. Also, relying on cloud to retrieve your files will take ages (as compared to local drives). What if you are in a place that doesn't have signal- no mobile data and wifi? How can you retrieve your files??
3. As i have said, i owned many Samsung phones. Now they even changed the sim format from micro-sim to nano-sim.. wth? Seriously? Samsung definitely wants to clone iPhone! You have lost all the advantages you have and now stuck to being the same with apple. Too bad...
Remember: for apple fans, they will not simply change brand even if you clone (look alike) the Samsung.. they will stick to their beloved iPhone.. so, Samsung, hope you get back to your roots and see your advantages from iPhone. Maximize it. Not be an iPhone wanna be!

Why there no research on it when Apple release the first iphone with only 1400mah unremovable battery back in 2007. We are considered lucky with the 3000mah.
