The Note 8 is expensive, as they have to re-coup from the lost billions from the Note 7 fiasco!
I like the idea of a stylus phone, but the Note 8 is too big. Why not add DAB radio?
Curved screen are greater risk of damage if they fall on the floor.
I want a nice phone, but I want to treat a phone like a utility tool and not a fragile piece of glass. I want to the street and worry about what happens in my phone falls to the ground, is stolen etc....

You don't even know how to differentiate the LIVE FOCUS mode to normal photography.
N8 LIVE FOCUS is good only for sufficient lighting condition, but fails in low light condition.
Where the cheap Huawei Mate 10 still take good photos with wide aperture mode even in low light condition. Better than the expensive N8 LIVE FOCUS.

I got this phone yesterday and I took a few video of air plain, but one of video was suddenly deleted with no action to delete. I also tried to find a video from deep folder by some third party apps, of course i could see other video which I deleted by myself, but there is no video which the system deleted...How can i recover that. I am really sad and disappointed this situation.

I bought this phone.very bad battery.nothing new in camera.battery even dont last for 6 hours.i will reckon not to buy this phone.these companies are robbing our money.

Now I just set live focus to maximum for every human subject I take pictures of. It's not just some filter. It doesn't ONLY operate in portrait orientation like iPhones. This is depth sensing and even blurs the most farthest, and less blurred for things that are a bit closer, while we get a clear focus to our subject.
As always, the "pro" reviewers don't go in deep about this. It has become my favorite feature other than the S Pen functions.

My Latest Phone and a daily driver. Camera with Live Focus is Mind Blowing. Love the stylus and its apps. Fun and productive. Screen is ultimate. Only thing Samsung is missing in the flagship game is the sound section. Need a stereo speaker and a Hi-Fi DAC inbuilt.
Only upsetting thing; carrier is not timely updating the security patches.

Nothing to say about this phone exept "Buy it and enjoy the power, quality and beauty of it". The only disadvantage is "I can't stop enjoying it and found out very late that how stupid I was using that problemish phone 7 plus".

After all the flagships that have already come out this year, including the latest one - Razer phone, I'm just glad I got the Note8. None has any nuances of a digitizer pen system.
None.
That's why some of us stick with the Galaxy Note. To be able to write notes and draw with a pen. Productivity. Ability to gather your thoughts with a pen. Do art. Precise selection/input. Good camera. Amazing screen. This is the tool I need all the time.

Still No Update in India.. it is with 1st August Security patch... It seems that Note 8 Sales in India is low so samsung do not want to focus that area. so Updates are stopped for Note 8. Most importantly app are force closed... Samsung still did not concentrate on it... Flagship price in India but service gone down...!
