        OLD SAMSUNG USER, 01 Nov 2017initially i was 100% to buy this phone. but due to finger p... moreI'm coming from a Note 3 for almost 4 years, and previous Notes 1, 2 and Note 8.0(2013). Note5 was never any upgrade with no memory expansion. I had to return the Note7 after 45 days (we all know why)- best optimized with fingerprint scanner at the bottom.

        Well, after going back with the Note 3, the Note8 is a big step up (like the Note7). Even more so with a dual camera configuration and 17 mm more taller screen area. The fingerprint scanner position didn't stop me. I wanted the excellent S Pen with 4096 pressure levels as well.

        Note FE (Note7) is out for someone like you. Note8 is like the improved version of the Note7. I'm back to carrying a power pack, and I found that a thin 4000 mAh would give me 70 to 80 % of power back.

          initially i was 100% to buy this phone. but due to finger print sensor odd position and unjustified price i drooped my idea. i can afford $1000 to buy this phone but purchasing at this price to will motivate samsung to continue this trend.
          not going to purchase it anymore and so as my friends.

The Note series is aimed for a power user segment who are likely in executive with office suite, creative & artistic with the S Pen, reliable clear documentation with the camera, vividness of the screen for setting with clarity, and specs far superior to do all those smoothly.

                  The Note8 is a tool, not a set of specs to show off that some here clearly don't even maximize. Who wants to boast about the screen, yet not watch HDR video with the Note? Who wants to boast about how clear the audio is when the same person don't even use streaming music?

Despite the 4000 mAh battery, it can not perform as long as the Note 8's 3300 mAh. Tests have shown. Mate 10 has no wireless charging. Mate 10 has no AMOLED. Mate 10 has no S Pen. Mate 10 has no better OIS. No iris scanner. It has so many compromises. Why post here in Note 8 comments?

                      Note 8 is a super phone. It has the best screen. Brightest. HDR. S Pen is important.

In my own opinion the note 8 would have been perfect with a larger battery. I hope they do something about that with the note 9.

Normal photo shooting mode works wonders with low light. Duh. Even GSM Arena wrote how wonderful the camera of the Note8 works at night. Don't tell me that your imaginary Mate 10 gets wonderful bokeh at night.

You do know that the article link mentioned just an integration of Microsoft Translator? The very same app can be installed from the Google store. Same thing. I can install it. So, this is a third party inclusion. Nothing more. I can have both but you can't have Samsung's one.

                              What the Mate 10 can't do is to translate or convert by hovering the S Pen.

                                    So please do tell us about what Mate 10 innovation you keep bragging about - fingerprint scanner at the front? 4000 mAh battery that fails to go above the Note 8's 3300 mAh performance? IPS LCD that fails to be better than the Super AMOLED of Note 8? 1980s IR remote control function?

                                    No you have nothing. I suggest you stop commenting here if you have nothing good to say about the Note 8.

                                      It translates entire paragraphs. It converts currencies instantly. Guess which smart phone can do all of these? I am sure it is not the Mate 10.

                                      What is this reddish screen issue you just made up? No, there is no red tint on my Note 8. Note 8 screen is the world's best at the moment. Accurate colours. No burn-ins. No strange tint. Brightest screen in the world at 1200 nits.

                                      You do not have anything nice or Real to say about the Note 8, I suggest you just stay out of this comments page.
