Way too expensive for now. You get the dex with it, but don't need it. Rather cut the price and pay much less for the Phone only instead of the samsung dex included.

Now seeing that one of my options- Mi Mix2 (other is the V30) doesn't have IP68, AMOLED screen, better camera, Micro SD slot..it's gonna come down to Note8 vs V30 for me.
On paper this is how they stack up for me-
Note 8 over V30- SPen, 6GB RAM, slicker UI/Android launcher, dual OIS cameras, Edge display and UI, Samsung Pay, superior front cam
V30 and Note8- Compact design/right size screen, 1 hand usage, MIL STD durability, widescreen 2nd camera more useful, better audio, powerful video and camera UI, better FP sensor, colours (love Moonlight blue), cheaper price
There are other things like the Exynos SoC being faster than SD835, LG's UI being more optimised than Grace UX, Note screen better than LG POLED but that's still untested by anyone.
Right now I'm more inclined to the V30 as it's more practical while offering all top-line features however LG has a knack of flatter to deceive- the G5 and G6 looked great on paper but when seen in stores the quality and feel was way inferior to others. Really hope this isn't the case with the V30 this time...

However, Apple will not risk integrating the Pencil because there will be less purpose in getting an iPad Pro, just like not integrating touch screen on Macbooks or else they will lose sales for iPads. They don't integrate mouse with iPads so that people will still get Mackbooks. They don't want phone capacilities on tablets, or else fans will not get iPhones.
Apple wants their fans getting all categories to have a fancy Apple ecosystem that you mentioned before.
