The camera is great, the screen is great, the phone is still smooth. Mine is also from 2017 and the battery isn't so good anymore but the phone itself is still superb after almost 6 years. What I miss the most since the S22 Ultra is my daily driver since a year now is the heart rate sensor which I used regularly.

        What do you miss about it over the 20? Im still using the Note8 from 2017. The battery has never been replaced is about 85% which is decent. My iphoneX from same time died 2 yrs ago and needs to be replaced and ive used my note8 way more. I feel i hit lucky with this battery. The screen has major banding not horrible bit its there in the background and has never been replaced. I suspect from long high brighness periods of outdoor use in summer. The stock samsung case is on its last leg seriously has been dropoed about 30-40 times. I have 2 cracked corners that dont affect usage. Aside from those it my my most favorite phone ive ever had even compared to buying new and trying them out and i still go back to my note8. Never lets me down unless taking pictures at night, which is total rubbish.

        Im thinking of going for a note20 or s22/23 ultra but the prices on the new ones are crazy high. I use the headphone jack almost daily. Im looking for a good usbc headphone adapter i bought one and it was total rubbish the audio quality was horrible. I use ear buds on iphone but ive lost them or they wear out fast been using the same wirrd headphones for my note8 since 2017 and they still work great.

          Anonymous, 08 Feb 2023how is it possible Hello, I just replaced a screen on a Note 8 for a friend, was an easy swap as I got the screen attached to the frame, just a matter of swapping the parts over to the new screen/frame assembly. You can find the replacement screen/frame assembly in the various colors the phone is available with an included matching replacement back cover for $100 on Aliexpress.

            Anonymous, 05 Apr 2023How to avoid discoloration or amoleb burn?First is don't keep static images on the screen for long periods of time. Using apps that keep a UI, keyboard, etc. on the screen will start to show "burned" into the screen if used extended periods of time. To help keep or extend this from happening is to do the second suggestion.

            Second thing is to keep the brightness on the screen low, somewhere around 1/3rd or 1/2 brightness levels as running the screen at high brightness levels deteriorates the screen faster.

            Also bonus tip is using dark mode or having a dark background (specially if it has black) will give you better battery life as when pixels are black, they are off not using any power as AMOLED panels don't have a backlight that constantly runs underneath/behind it for a light source, each pixel makes its own light.

              Used it for almost 4 years and a half

              Now using note 20 ultra but still missing some some advantages from the note8

                                  Bought this phone last week brand new to replace my ancient HTC One M9 that eventually got broken after 7 years of use

                                  Hope it can last me several years again. I like the stylus function it's a cool thing and the camera is a large improvement over my old phone which is of course logical reasoning it's newer and more modern

                                  Plenty of cases for sale on eBay and I got a wireless charger pad that came with the phone and it works great, I haven't charged it wired once since I got it.

                                    Masterpiece phone, since 2017, still working without any issue, 5 and half year and the battery still stay for all the day. buy a great phone even expensive like Samsung Note or Ultra phone, reliable and best in the android market.

                                      Excellent phone, I used it for four and half years as my primary phone with no issues at all.
                                      Replaced when got popup notification regarding battery deterioration and because it was not getting any security updates, was still water resistant and I often used to wash it or expose it to water with zero issues even with sea water.
