Its really not much of an upgrade over the note8. Especially considering the Note8 can be had for zero dollars on a plan, why spend the extra $$$ for not much of a difference?

as a shy guy this phone appeals to me , for years ive dreamed of a screen so large and emersive it would completely cover my face in public , my anxiety was so bad before this phone came out i couldn't even leave the house with out my samsung tab 2 to cover my face from the shame.

Anonymous, 10 Aug 2018exactly except for low battery otherwise nearly same as Note 8Just 20% more battery. 4000 mAh is not enough for my usual 6000 mAh daily consumption. In any case, you would still need to keep the battery from every fully or deep discharged. So you would need to still carry or stash a charger/power bank and plug in in the middle of the day.

cant wait for this bad boys selfie power , ive been single for a while now and have been holding back for this swanky bit of kit , the though of having this mighy mobile telephone really tickles me deep , soon ill be fighting them all off with the dank little pen thing .

Nah... at least, not for this price. But, in a 2 or 3 months for 800-850 should be ok i guess.
S9+ for 660 euros is better option any day.

Samsung is hoping the Note 9 will give it a sales boost ... Me thinks not.
Why :
1) No MILT STD 810 G - The LG G6 has had it
2) Screen ... Should been 6.5 and a note Plus 6.8
3) Fast charging ---- well could have been better
4) The note series has a minor upgrade over the S series .. buts demands a huge premium in price ... not going to happen Sami
