If you like ex-flagship, you're on the right place.
I also think to buy Note 9, because i can't move on from this device.

Actually i already bought 2 Note 9 before, both color blue but i have to sold it because i need a money :')

After this, i might buy again (NEW SET), it's already in my shopee cart, waiting for money to fall like a leave :3

I had a lot to do before the month-end and hence the delayed post.
          Thx for Your reply.

Applies to Oreo ARI9, Samsung Experience 9.5., Exynos.

So, actually working functions at resolutions 3840x2160 and 2224x1080:
          • Aperture / shutter speed,
          • Auto or Manual Focus,
          • White balance - ie. color temperature "K" changes + various typical light sources.

In Pro Video mode absence of ISO values as it is obtained for photos,
          No optical zoom,
          Lack of filters.

In the general settings for Pro Mode,
          there is no HDR and
"Defects detection" and "Photos in motion".
Of course, "AF Tracking" excludes "Video Stabilization".
          • Magic wand is only in Auto mode.

Everything we have shown so far indicates that in "One UI 1.0" a few settings for Pro Video have actually been added compared to "Sam-Experience 9.5", although it should be taken into account that we do not know what contains in this topic the last Oreo variant - ARL3 - Dec 16, 2018.

I have similar associations to your observations with regard to the quality of photos in Note 4 - my first smartphone (with a stylus!) SE P99Oi allowed great photos, although its main camera had a resolution of 2.1 Mpx,
the trick was that the photos were saved at low compression, they took about 2 MB and often a little more.
As we all know for a long time, the number of pixels does not translate into the quality of photos, besides,
little emphasis is currently being placed on the characteristics of the lenses in objectives (lenses in the lens).

Regarding video calls over GSM, check out, that is, call or talk to a representative of your GSM Operator (Carrier), because this service must be launched from their system settings
(at least it was and presently is on all types of SIM cards in my location since UMTS was introduced),
of course one also has to disable the "Duo" app in the phone settings.
Then the green film camera icon should appear on the keyboard in the Phone app.
After dialing the recipient's number, just tap on this icon.

          Thank you.

I wish you a good experiences and good luck.

Ps: So far, I don't find overheating of my phone.

Farkadi, 21 Sep 2021Hello. Thanks for your post. Regarding the Android 8 v... moreHi and thank you for your concise procedural information. Good info regarding your Android 8 version and CSC etc.. as this will assit with my starting point should I pursue an Oreo vers to gain the removed useful (to my needs) "call record" function as the video pro as you mentioned is a bonus in ideal situations as there is no fully working GCAM for the Exynos version. My out of the box Software is One UI version 1.0 Android version 9
In regards to video settings switching to Pro mode gives me these settings:
                    Iso
                    Aperture/Shutter speed,
Manual - Color temp. Tint. Contrast. Sturation. Highlight. Shadows
                    Manual Focus
                    White Balance
                    Exposure
and changes made in this mode do not carry over to affect video. However swiping to Video mode in 3840x2150 there is only Tele and a greyed-out "wand" but if I change resolution to 2224x1080 then "wand" is active and has a series of filters only.
However if I go to the "Camera settings" icon and scroll to "Camera modes" then to Edit modes I note that both "Photo and Video" are activated by default and cannot be changed.
Interesting results you had for the night shots so I tried similar with slow moving vehicle lights and had similar results as you but they were better when compared to my current Note 4 which takes very good detailed shots in good light and in some instances are better than Note 9 including video.
Regarding call record function my sim has now allowed me to activate it.

Once again thank you for your replies...cheers

                            Thanks for your post.

Regarding the Android 8 version; on my SGN9,
                            8.1.0, Samsung Experience  9.5,
CSC: ARI7, PDA: ARI9 is dated Sep 29.2018
and up to the first version of "Pie" there are, including this one, 5 versions of Oreo.
In this range of these versions various functions may have been added and removed, so eg. in my version there is no call recording mode
(mine has Video calling via GSM network).

As for the Pro Mode in my version, I don't actually know if the 3  video recording settings qualify for the Pro definition.
I have doubts because I have no comparison with the actual, true Pro mode.

So I have something like this,
the camera when launched is in Auto mode,
after switching to Pro mode and swiping to Video mode here I have access to change three settings:
                            Aperture/Shutter speed,
                            Manual Focus and
                            White Balance.
These setting adjustments are effective while recording and pausing, that's all.
It seems that I won't add anything more on this topic.

Maybe only the fact that in Pro mode I was disappointed with the night shots
                            - in short, I was close to the planes landing approach path which were during descent about 300 m away from me.
I took 8 photos in Pro mode with ISO settings 800, shutter speed 1/90 and all photos were unsuccessful - airliners were as colored streaks.
At a higher shutter speed (1/125 or 1/180) there was a loss of brightness and shape of objects that looked like points of light against a black background.
In Auto mode (the moon icon was turned on) the aircrafts looked like blurry spots on a beige background.

In conclusion, I regard that the Pro mode on SGN9 if it can be useful then only in sufficient light conditions - during the day and at most late dawn or early dusk.
                            Thank you.

Bad support from the manufacturer, my 3 year old Galaxy NOTE 9 (introduced 2018) ends on Android 10.
So I don't know how long they supported it? A year or two?
It's different with Apple, and even the iPhone 6s from 2015 will get the latest iOS 15!

It's obvious that it was referring to "One UI 3.1" skin based on Android 11, because the "Note 10+" doesn't work on Android 3.1 "Honeycomb" which was intended for tablets only.

So the fact is, your phone with 1UI2.5 is third in the Note line.
After all, it's not that bad, the bronze medal should also be appreciated. Okay?

                                        Hello to All.
I'm wondering about such a minor things, maybe someone will explain it
                                        - the phone in Flight mode is turned off, then after a few seconds it's turned on and appears the PIN input indication. If one waits for about 5 seconds, the phone vibrates for a second, what could that mean?
Is it possible in this situation to have full access to the phone content without entering a PIN - this doesn't apply to making calls.

                                        The second thing
                                        - in "Max. Power Saving Mode" access to the apps is limited to a few - alright - if one picks here eg.
"My Files" app, then the only possible access is to preview of the files' lists.
When trying to open a graphic file (it doesn't matter what extension it has) a message appears
"Can't open file. Please add the associated application to Max. Power Saving Mode and try again."
My question, how to open files, since in this Mode there is no option to add other apps than the few set by the manufacturer?
In the case of graphic files, one can set the "My files" app together with "Gallery" to display them in this mode.
This choice excludes direct access to other permitted apps that aren't currently displayed on the screen.
But how to open for example a plain text file (.txt)?
Does one need to download an additional app for this, that can allow to open various files in "Max. Power Saving Mode" that aren't in this mode's list?
                                        Is there such an application?
Thanks in advance for the tips on both topics.
