Momodroid, 29 Apr 2020I think it is pretty normal. Depends also from what phone y... moreFully agreed.

I changed from Huawei Mate 10 to Samsung Note 9. I really can feel that Huawei batter is better than Samsung. Anyway, I like Samsung Note 9 screen which is really nice & powerful.

Thank you for your opinion.

Love this phone, but since Android 10 update, the LED light notification for missed calls does not work (it works for messages and other notifications). I really like the missed call notification feature (I know not everyone does). Has anyone else noticed this?

My partner as an S9 and she had the same issue, but this was fixed in the April update on her phone, but not so for Note 9. Hopefully Samsung fixes it in May update.

Zero, 02 May 2020Nope. Mine was faster and performs better with Android 10. ... moreNo way note 9 get better SOT vs note 10+ , it totally depends how much you use the phone ad apps, note 10+ is way better in term of battery performance.
Might be your brother got a faulty unit of note 10+

Mad, 15 Apr 2020Samsung is doing this dirty tricks and customers are forced... moreNope. Mine was faster and performs better with Android 10. I am using the April update and so far no issues at all. Battery is great, screen is normal, speed is superb, also had a power icon near the settings icon in notification area, camera is much clearer at fast, using bixbi button to open camera app, etc.... I do a factory reset everytime I upgrade my phone's OS. Sometimes even after an OS update, depends on my mood

Bought it Brand new old stock last month, it scored 5-6 SoT (Android 10, March 2020 update patch) while my brother's Note 10+ got 5 hrs SoT. Forget about regular Note 10 with 3500 mAh. Probably because i still got the new unit n new battery out of the box.

Overall note 9 is not that great in terms of battery life compared to s10 or note 10 so you have to live with it :-)

So far, there is no software update to solve this issue but I understand that they released a software update for S20 which face the same problem.

Just play around with the setting first. Don't send it for servicing yet.

Bros, 29 Apr 2020Hi guys, I just bought this phone 2 days ago and upgraded t... moreI think it is pretty normal. Depends also from what phone you used before, sometimes it affected the way we judge the phone battery usage. Used to get easily 6-7 hrs SoT until reach 30-20% in my Nova 5T (Kirin 980, 7nm, 3700mah) however when i moved to Samsung Note 9 (bought mine new, old stock), i learned to accept reality that it can get only 5-6 hrs SoT. Even though it has 4000mah battery, bigger than Nova 5T's 3700mah battery. Different features, spec (particularly less efficient 10nm SoC compared to 7nm SoC on Nova 5T) etc make me easy to accept that it is normal to have more power hungry phone despite the larger battery capacity.

Hi guys, I just bought this phone 2 days ago and upgraded to latest Android 10.

I noted the battery drained quite fast, 10% for 30 mins Youtube playing, is this normal?

                          Appreciate your reply, TQ.

I owned every Samsung Galaxy from the S2 and now I have the Note 9. One of the best phones I have ever owned. The Galaxy series went downhill when they released the S6 (No SD Card expansion or Removable battery) The S7 was somewhat better but Now I buy the Notes. Much better for tour money.
HTC used to be my goto phone but that was years ago.

My Galaxy Note 9 is giving Screen and Battery problem all within ONE year. Am a careful owner and hardly any rough handling. The 1st time it happened the devise was still 2 months away from Warranty, so luckily I got that fixed. 9 months forward now, same problem. Again! Unfortunately for me, Samsung in SG says sorry they cannot help except I send for repair which will cost minimum estimated SG$300+. What a piece of lousy product! Will NOT recommend and will NOT support Samsung from now. Crap devise!

I recently got a fairly used Note 9 and noticed that i could not access the secure folder and also get OTA or security updates because the device had been rooted by its previous owner. Please how can I unroot it and not brick it?
Or do i just return it to the seller as there's still warranty?
