JONATHAN, 16 Dec 2022its sad how this big device does not support OTGThis note9 phone is most complete and powerful up to this days, as for your clime over OTG is nonsense, i got OTG cable for it and works perfect, although no charging ather devices over it, but that's fine and it's practical and reasonable,.

Anonymous, 13 Dec 2022Have used the Note 9 for 4 years, everything great except f... moreYes. This is literally the best Android smartphone ever made. You cannot find any phone now that has the same combination of features at the same price.

Flagship SoC + Headphone jack + MicroSD card slot + UFS 3 & USB 3.1(so many manufacturers have UFS but MTP is extremely slow because they use USB 2) + Amazing cameras(especially for low-light shots) + Samsung Pay + Fast charging + "Fast" wireless charging + IP68 dust & water resistance + HDR10 QHD Super AMOLED display WITHOUT a notch + Rear mounted-fingerprint sensor + Iris scanner (for true face unlock while wearing a mask) + Heartbeat sensor & SpO² sensor + wireless powered S pen which charges in seconds

I was looking for so long for some decent phone to upgrade to from my Note 9.

Looked at Poco F3, then F4, then F4 GT, then X4 GT (which is more powerful than the F4 GT but half the price, also retains the headphone jack) but I didn't get the X4 GT because of the LCD screen and MediaTek has no support for rooting and flashing custom ROMs etc.

The Poco X4 Pro has everything I need (120 Hz AMOLED screen, fast charging, headphone jack and MicroSD card slot) but the SoC (Snapdragon 695) is worse than this.

Finally got the 11T Pro, but if I could somehow fit an updated flagship SoC into this phone, I would choose it in a heartbeat.

I just upgraded from my Galaxy Note9 last night. I used it for almost 4 years without a problem and loved it. It was still perfectly capable of running all the apps I wanted, although the RAM was starting to get a little tight. The expandable microSD storage was great and something I miss on my new Galaxy. If you're looking for an inexpensive but quality Android phone, you can't go wrong with the Note9, imo.

I have Samsung note 9 working on its original OS; means no updates installed as yet. My question is that does this problem of green tint still persists or is it safe to update the OS.

My Galaxy Note 9 SM-N9600 started showing screen discoloration after some recent software updates. I thought updating would fix the issues but it just makes it worse now my screen won't display anything but the phone still works(charges, sounds, vibrate, notifications). I thought that the screen is dead so I bought a water-damaged note 9 SM-N960F that has a good display. My plan is to swap out the screen but no luck still no display(both original and donor screen) so I tried the water-damaged note 9 board on both screens and it works just fine(both original and donor screen).

TLDR: Samsung software update broke my note 9 and charging me $250 for a screen replacement even though my screen still works.

DeadTek, 11 Nov 2022oneplus 7 pro or note 9I have both. One plus is smoother because of 90hz display, but in my experience, I've gone through so many software bugs with 7 pro. Note 9 is little bit slower, but more solid phone. Only drawback is android 10 , which is max upgrade you can get, it's not a big deal.
