I'm disappointed with Samsung Philippines not being able to deliver the Note 8 stocks for regular sale, a week after that explosive one-day sale launch. It should have been out this week, now sales people are telling me to wait another week or two.
I already find the suggested retail price of Php23,990(US$584) to be so high as it is. Samsung Trinoma branch seems to be the only one selling the Note 8 at a staggering price of Php25,500(US$622) at the moment! That branch is taking advantage.
I'm expecting this to be lower at Php21k to Php22k at others stores. Is the delay somehow tied to the sale of the S4, so that people will spend more for that than the Note 8? I don't care much about the S4. I need my Note 8.
I'm tempted to get the Note 10.1 now priced at Php22,500(US$549). Really tempted.

You should not compare iPad mini with this device. Difference is mini is old leftover parts from iPad 2 they repackaged to get rid of overwhelming extra inventory of outdated hardware.

I paid very high price brought the 3G version of Note 8.0 to replace my galaxy note by At&t and my ipad 3G. I only used it for one day, for sure it's a good move even I paid more than doubled the wifi only price. The most important reason for me to have a bigger screen is my vision, I've to put my reading glass on to read on the original note's 5" screen. Now with the 8" screen, specially I checked the Huge Font size from the display sittings, I could read all the contacts, messages and other stuffs that you can not enlarge from the original note. You know what I'm talking about if you have the vision issue. I don't need to bring my 3G ipad and my original note together with me every time.

I like this tablet so much but the price scares the living hell out of me......
I thought that samsung came to save us from apple over priced worthless devices, but here they go selling their own device more costly than apple..
Please are you guys out for high price competition?

I'm in love with this tablet but the price breaks my heart....... Samsung please reduce the price $380 or maximum $400 is not too bad for the 16GB+3G+WIFI international version

laxus00, 17 Apr 2013is this good over the note 2?The Note 8 has practically the same processor and GPU, but the Note II has FM radio, led, 8 mp camera, longer battery, SAMOLED screen, pocketable and cheaper as it's over 6 months old. I high recommend the Note II for being a very reliability with battery stamina, vibrant screen, smooth functions and excellent connections.
I need the Note 8 for the screen area with its good screen for drawing and presentations.

There was a one-day launch sale was at SM Mall of Asia during April 13. Rumors are that is on regular sale at stores this April 20, according to the one of the sales representatives. The P26480 is for the credit card 12-month installments, according to Abenson store.

i'm gonna wait for the charcoal black variant... and by december, because for sure there would be some drop in the price. this is currently priced as much as the bigger Note 10.1.
