Here's something for those who would like to modify your Otterbox Commuter case for the SG Note II. I managed to incorporate a useful kickstand with the case without the kickstand protruding when folded. Head over to the thread here:

There's a video link I made of the finished modified case there.

Drake, 17 Feb 2013 I just want to note that I wish Samsung would add a blueto... moreNice to incorporate a bluetooth earpiece to the device itself but I'm guessing it would be just a mono type. I have the HS3000 which is stereo with remote capabilities. Not everyone would be using bluetooth earpieces anyway.
There's an S Pen with built-in earpiece + microphone for calls. I hope to however see a Samsung S Watch that is way better than the Sony's. Even better is that becomes a detachable earpiece + microphone for calls and message alerts.

You won't be missing anything from the S3 because the Note 2 has it all and more. And the battery life is much better than the S3 as well. The real question is, is a device that large for you?

I just want to note that I wish Samsung would add a bluetooth detachable ear piece phone on their phablets. One that is ready to use upon detachment and is placed within the contour shape of the phablet body.

This shouldn't be happening. But where are you from? Certain countries have updates on this.

I finally got the original charger + extra battery set. Yes, I got the darn white one as I want to manage my charging much more efficiently without having to plug-in while in use. I read somewhere that effective charging is with the phone off.
The charger is squarish and absurdly large to be carrying around - and I don't see the need to be charging in my bag with a portable charger necessary as the battery's stamina can last up to 12 hours minimum (20 hours at moderate) per charge when using it quite heavily.
I made a carrying case from an ordinary A6 sized $2.50 notebook to help me organized for heavy usage and for long travels that fits 2 extra batteries:

It's simple and inexpensive. I opted for this instead of the Mugen extended battery type as it thickened and increased the weight of the Note II. I don't mind quickly changing batteries.

helopilot, 16 Feb 2013can u be more specific on what craked? one answer is to go ... moreSpeaking of case protection, I just got an Otterbox Commuter equivalent from the Swisstech brand for only P200 ($5) - compared to P2800 ($70) for the Otterbox one here.
The quality is excellent and this is the thinnest 2-part type of protection. The all black silicone and black hard plastic parts combination is usual sold out. The only down side to the design is there is no fold stand. I might splice one in that is flushed to the surface of its back. It still works with the book case security.

I just feel Otterbox is way overpriced.
