Hello everybody ...I received yesterday Update for my galaxy note via Kies but the phone (auto update)says no update available...yesterday i plugged my phone kies says updates to android 4.0 available ,,,Today I plugged my phone again to update via kies the update gone it says (you have the latest firmware)am running gingerbread 2.3.6 ...Help where the update gone?

I received 7.85mb updates so i wants to know what kind of update is this if anybody who upgraded this plz let me know....thanx.

reading the comments don't know if i want update to ICS ,since its not available here in china china mobile or samsung service center have no clue whatICS is or I'm talking about ,go figure samsung service cntr.
my question is since i frequent both HK nd philippines would this update be available for download with kies .i have both working sim cards for both locations,appreciate reply to this possibility tnks

Guys at times I regret that I bought N7000.
Samsung did sent any update for the last 4.0.3 update.
They promised a premium suite but nothing came in the update.
checked my friends SE S-- after 4.0.4 update a complete user interface change and lot of updates.
Note is their top notch phone, still Samsung is not focusing on updates.
Expectations with 4.0.3 update is more. Hope Samsung wakes up.

I bought a pre-owned SG Note N7000 which came from Dubai. It came with GB 2.3.5. and was updated to ICS4.O.3. Now, I want to do factory reset but I am afraid it would go back to GB. I need HELP with this. If I do a factory reset, would it retain ICS or return to GB?

Ive used a lot of phones in the past. Nokia, htc, blackberry, xperia. But this phone cannot be compared. So fast, so easy to use. Dont know whats wrong with people complaining. I love this and im very satisfied. ♥

Asphalt 7 for android: approb.com/android-games/5342.html, it worked perfect on GN with Ics. Go to green download link and download the apk and download data from the app.

Hey guys!!
Before you attempt for an ICS online update, please make sure of the following:
1) Try to have the updating process during midnight, or any time when you are sure to receive no phone calls through your SIM, as it is crucial to have the SIM inserted. But receiving any calls on between may interrupt with the updating process, resulting in malfunction.
2) Have the phone battery fully charged.
3) Make sure that upgrade to the very same regional edition that has been already installed in your phone.
4) It is advisable to consult your local Samsung service center for having your phone updated by them, as it includes installing the drivers that might not be present in the online ICS update.

DON’T BUY a SAMSUNG!
Buying new cellphones as soon as they are launched has been my hobby. Even though I was very happy using a Blackberry Torch, I gave in to all the “advertising” and bought myself a new Rs. 32,000 Samsung Note (N-7000) on 05/06/2012. There begins my problem.
After using the phone for 1 day, I updated my phone to Android ICS from the original version that was provided to me using the Over The Air option. After installation, my Samsung Note became super buggy! Facebook and Whatsapp refused to work. Samsung Helpline told me to visit the Service Centre to reload my ICS version as the Over The Air version has problems!!! Why release and continue to push an update Over The Air when its buggy by Samsung’s own acceptance is beyond my understanding.
On 06/06/2012 (day 2) ,Took the effort, found a Authorised Service Centre in the vicinity, waited in the line for a 1 hour (with people with the same/similar problems) and finally got my brand new, hard earned Rs. 32,000 phone serviced by the service centre on day 2. Thought that the problem was solved. That was my hope, which didn’t last beyond a few days.
Whatsapp and Facebook started working but several tried and test apps like Talking Tom, the ones which worked the first time around STOPPED WORKING!!
02/07/2012 :28 days after buying the phone and after several visits to the service station, I am thinking why Samsung why? Why did I replace my Blackberry Torch with this “Dumb phone” which cant handle the most basic apps. The ones which phones worth Rs. 10,000 can handle!! And what does Samsung say in return?? : Sir, please visit our Main Service Centre in Santacruz for your problem. Are you freaking kidding me!!!!
And they will NOT replace my phone now since its MORE THAN 4 DAYS OLD!

Hi everyone .. Sine i upgrade my Gnote 4.0 ICS it's working faster but ERROR every single day . It's always stop working unless i remove battery and put it back and switch on again . Is there any body know this problem ?

I have a problem with my note.
After it switched off because I had not charged it for 2 days, I put it on charge but it takes ages to start and it stops at the samsung sign. After some time it starts then it freezes and it restarts itself repeatedly.
Any1 had this issue, pls help.
